Just saw the movie for the first time. This movie should have gathered multiple awards. Her singing is phenomenal and probably her best to date. The critics underrated this movie and clearly had no taste.

I have to keep coming back to this song because it is an Oscar winning performance. I have seen a lot of movies with a lot of songs sung but this one by far is the absolute best ever. No question about it.
Well i think The Bodyguard of Whitney Houston has the best soundtrack in history but i agree with you, this movie expecially the songs were waay underrated, Christina was 👌in this!
When discussing sound tracks it's super hard to pin one down as the best. I've not seen one lately but going back just a little bit what about the soundtrack for RAY the life of Ray Charles Robinson. It is phenominal. And the Dream Girls with Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson? They are blk films but ever so good and every bit as good as the bodyguard!!! In my opinion.
Yep Christina is one talented person and quite humble as well. She made a bargain with the producer that she would be allowed to wear the flower in her hair. Lol something so small and insignificant but had meaning to her that she agreed to do the song and wear the dress only if she could keep wearing the flower. I watched the trailer. You can learn alot by looking at the trailers. Anyway she is truly awesome and amazing. One of my most favorite movies of all times.

This movie holds up on repeated viewings and Aguilera's performance seems richer each time, and I wasn't even a fan of hers! A shame she hasn't done more films as she is far more effective in BURLESQUE than critics gave her credit for. My score 7 out 10. My only gripes were predictable plot, not enough Alan Cumming and not enough background on Cher and Peter Gallagher's characters on how they built up the club and why their relationship soured. The editing and directing is adequate, at best, and makes you wonder what got left on the cutting room floor. Would love to see what a top rate editor could do with all the footage after a few weeks in the editing suite!
