The Mpk mini is a great starter controller, theres only 2 things i dislike about it. the pads are only reliable in the corners (causes stutters if played in the middle) and the fact you cant control your DAW all from the controller. its decent for the price tho id recommend it to anyone starting out. Currently tho ive been leaning towards Native Instruments devices (better pads and DAW integration) (Ableton + Maschine is a pretty dope combo)
The MPK mini mk3 does have a nice form factor. I'd like it with faders, tho. I've been using Worlde Tuna Mini, which is around $70 on Amazon. The quality could be better, but at that price, it has 8 faders, 8 pads, and 8 endless knobs, in a compact size.
@@NefertitiGold It has been great. I've used it to create atmospheric backdrops for videos. The arpeggiation is cool and the keys have nice sensitivity. Thanks for asking!
@@NefertitiGold yeah, I ended up with a launchpad pro instead. It met my needs a little better for sample triggering, controlling Ableton and live looping. It was a little more expensive, but for what it does it was a better fit for me.

Great review. The all black Mk3 is cool, but still learning the piano keyboard. Will use the Mk3 with an Akai APC Mini.
That’s a good choice, white/black is ideal as you’re learning
Nice video I'm using a M-Audio Oxygen Pro 49 with Akai's Mpc Studio Mk 2 .
Sounds great! How do you like the M-Audio?

Wow! I’ll have to look that up
@@NefertitiGold it's not the greatest, but it's cheap, portable, and versatile. groovewindow has a good demo on his channel
Cool I have one of these! Thanks
How do you like yours?

I need the mini plus! More keys more ideas. Best controller and I love the joystick.
I haven’t tried the mini plus but I’ve heard good reviews about it too! I wish it came in more color options!
