First time hearing about this! (Tho I haven’t owned any bike specific shorts/pants yet*!) Thank you @Femme Cyclist, it makes perfect sense-Going to incorporate it in the future 💪☺️
Cool. Danke vielmals und liebe Grüße aus Deutschland. Ich gehe am Samstag auf ein Training und benötige dafür ein passendes Outfit. Jetzt weiß ich, worauf es ankommt. Super 😊
Okay, okay, but if one is on one's period, do you just apply the pad to the chamois? Or is that verboten, too, since the pad acts as a barrier to all the things you mention a chamois is for? Just wear a tampon? But what about leaking? Or am I just betraying my prudity (word?) when it comes to periods and not wearing underwear with bike shorts....
Great question! Obviously, everybody handles this a little differently. Personally, I wouldn’t use a pad due too the potential for chafing/rubbing, but you do you. A lot of women “free bleed”-bleeding directly into the chamois. You just have to wash it right away after a ride. Others, like to use a tampon or Menstrual cup (which is what I do).
