India would have been 50-60 years ahead of where it is today, if Baba Saheb was given the charge he wanted as a cabinet minister.

We don't need intellectual but people with valour or courage who may put his word forward...and make people aware about their right and about indian civilization...not evil which crept in civilization...
filtering the rational thought from history and disseminate with help of people's support.... because one Ambedkar is not enough or not one human is not enough to bring change in society...we have seen it in past whether it was RR Mohan Roy,vidyasagar, swami vivekanand,Jyotiba phule, mahtma aiyyankar,br Ambedkar...
.we can't remove caste , it doesn't mean that we can not reform caste....we have to become more rational..as Ambedkar said..

Mr.Anand,an awrdee of British Council ,born in a Brahmin community is a rare class of intellectual, who is influenced by DR.AMBEDKAR and trying
    to take his legacy further.
We have pleasure in appreciating him. Even those of SCS, who have the great responsibility of doing this duty are not of that standard which we observe, as you being a Brahmin is taking it to a far more greater heights.
If all Indians understand and would have followed his (AMBEDKER'S) ideas our country would have been advanced to a greater level. Thank you Anand.

I appreciate his assessment of Dr. Ambedkar and how the Hindu caste system is a gutter institution; what I find amusing is the fact that most East Indians, especially the higher caste in America, interact and discuss the Hindu caste system, they assume that as a black American, that I am not well read in regards to the origin of caste in India and the dehumanizing nuances of how this system or religion treats and treated black African populations or their negative perception of blackness where ever Hindus have migrated and found people of African descent or native Africans in general, not to mention the millions of black populations inside of India!

Thank you Mr. S. Anand for your very interesting contribution to the Legacy of our brilliant Dalit brother, Dr, Ambedkar. Dr. Ambedkar was way ahead of his time , compared to Nehru and Gandhi,, who both failed the Dalit peoples during India's struggle for Independence..So called high caste hindus are definitley trying to divide and destroy the good works of Dr Ambedkar and therefore the Dalit community in general must be aware of this, which I am sure they already are. The Brahmins have learnt their lessons well in the 'divide and rule system' from the British, which they are now doing. amongst the Dalit peoples. Sad but true.. They deliberately do n ot want to be informed of Dr, Ambedkar's works. They would rather blind themselves to the broadness of his vision for India and its peoples.

It is need of every well educated person of this country should know Dr Ambedkar. However we need to teach Dr Ambedkar in text in schools , colleges, Universities in India. Caste less India cannot happen unless, intercaste marriages amongs the all communities . Also our people should stop calling Dalits,Harijan and called them simply exploited communities.

Ambedkar was a British agent. All his life he was pro-British. He was against the freedom of India. He was financed by the British to join the Round Table Conference. Thereafter he was in the Vice Roys Cabinet as an adviser. He became the chairman of the drafting committee because of the British.

Master Anand is born with a highly developed mind, one in a million, 00.1% of Indians have such a mind and high thinking ability.. 99% Indians are biased and superstitious ( this includes highly educated Indians). Sadly Anand is but a drop in the OCEAN .Let's wait for another 200 years to eradicate caste , maybe it might still exist then .

Well done Anand. Getting the true history of India out to the world helps to make the whole world smarter, compassionate and equitable. One can only wonder in horror over how much has been lost by holding Ambedkar and the untouchables back from participating in social and economic progress. Today untouchables have proven it is DNA and not diety based rights than count. Every society has developed such devices to reduce the competition for work and resources and it is based on fear. A fear of bot being good enough than the next person to earn a crust or even far more crust than others. The world is full of people of different religions and creeds, they are not hindu brahmin and do very well and are very smart. Caste is slavery by another name and in another form.
Gandhi wanted to preserve this systen and was very much a racist. He wanted to avoid division of India I am inclined to believe so the Hindu Brahmins did not lose a large portion of its assets. I am inclined to think if Pakistan and Bangladesh were nothing more than deserts he would have gladly let it go to the muslims because its low value. In the same sense he did not want the untouchables to disown Hinduism because to do so would be to lose a huge cheap labour workforce that they can abuse and exploit. Gandhi going on hunger strikes were devices to manipulate people to his will. To send people on a huge guilt trip and get his devotees to put huge pressure on others to do as Gandhi wants. If Gandhi died from hunger strike it would have meant civil attacks on the untouchables who had no strength and resources to protect themselves. That's is manipulation, that's a wolf in sheeps clothing behaviour. Gandhi helped to remove one master but he wanted to replace it with a new master based, the brahmins and his caste. That was liberation for the few not for everyone. Here is the amazing thing in all of this, how was it a force like Ambedkar come to exist with all his disadvantages to be there at the same time as Gandhi and Co to temper one exploitative system for another? In India is this not classified as a Devine intervention to save a whole nation from itself. If not then it's quite an extraordinary coincidence and he and Jinnar screwed up Gandhi's ans Nehru's plans could be the alternative argument.
Ambedkar did plenty for India to make it a better and more prosperous place now its upon us all to tell the true history and just move forward

You need to study more before making comments. One vote, one value is the aim of the Indian Constitution. The scheme of Separate electorate was different. Separate electorate basically means one vote to your representative. Gandhi raised a false objection, that it would divide the Hindu society. Hence, to address the concern of Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar proposed two votes, one for the representative and one for the Hindu representative.
