Thank you so much for the video! I just ordered all my gear from Southern snares I live in Slidell Louisiana just outside the Honey Island Swamp we're overrun with Hogs down here and we can snare them year-round with the $25 Trapper license I'll be able to supplement my family's meat and food far more than my compound bow currently does! This will be great fun for my grandkids too!
As a snare builder myself i can honestly say those are some of the best looking hog snares I've seen, 1/8 7 x7 is so difficult to get loaded like that , very professional looking equipment -
ACB Wildlife Control Much better than I can do! Hope you are having better luck than me. I got flooded out and the hogs moved off to higher ground, so the trip turned into instruction rather than removal.
My good friend bought coyote snares from southern snares after they killed his dog. Your recommendation and videos helped him snare 5 this year alone. I can send you photos of the coyote if you want them. We have both learned a lot from you, and I will be a supporter of your Chanel here soon. I would have been already, but I have had a rough year. Thank you for everything you do, and please keep inspiring people to move forward with not buying old and nasty processed meat.
Southern Snares is a great resource! Brian answered my questions and made me some custom snares for coyote trapping this past winter even though he was really busy.
I have had hogs break the 1/8 " cable but the Hogs were well over 300 & 400 pounds I only use Southern Snares in my Feral Hog & Coyote Eradication Business and Business is good.
My biggest problem with your videos is that when I watch them again in order to pick up on what I might have missed during an earlier viewing is that I can't hit the LIKE button again...
Just ordered some nice big predator yote snares off of southern snare they're awesome going back for more of the predator quick kill #3s they are set up awesome have put a few 45 pound coyotes in them and got a cougar around the area that I hope dont get in it. The coyotes here sure put up a fight will never use 1/16 agains thanks for sending me Brian's way
That's a heavy-duty piece of equipment. Good work on getting those hogs cleared out. Do you have trouble working the same area after you've gotten a few? Or does removing a fee send them elsewhere for awhile? It seems like they learn pretty quick about threats. They sure know how to create a lot of problems.
Haphazard Homestead They will migrate up and down river bottoms here, so when they are in a property I hit them hard and will set a hundred or more snares. They then move off and work other areas for a while before wandering back in.
Once again great video! Im planning a trip to Maine in September to trap bear using a cable restraint. Can't wait. I wonder if Brian can design a cable restraint for me?? By the way what states allow for hog snaring? Thatll be next for me!
I think the swivels would fail. I would not use that style. If I felt like I need a swivel it would be a crunch proof swivel. This is close to what I described to ya LOL.
Hawkeye45 No disrespect to you at all but your thoughts on swivels for hog snares Is totally wrong. Years ago I had the same thought on the crunch proof , but the hogs repeatedly showed me it was a poor choice by pulling the j- hooks open- since changing to the 12 barrel swivel and hundreds of snared hogs later have never had a failure with them, even on some giant boars . the hogs taught me what works and what doesn't
That's possibly the best snare of it's kind on Earth, at the moment.
I’m watching your video because I want to start doing this on some property in North Florida. I just need to study the laws first. But thanks

Awesome! If you have any questions let me know - good luck!
Careful not to snare the Honey Island Monster or if you do make sure you are using the right sized gear..

is there a way to modify/bait these things to increase catching chances?
They are top quality snares! I can say that from my own experiences with them. Tell Brian hello.
WILLIAM TURNER Will do!
How to set this snare😊😊

Them hogs are powerful animals. If you've been attacked by one like i did, you'll know.......
Great video
Cool video Tim
How do you attach this
I appreciate the video and am amazed at the circular shape of the snare. Did you say it was a 7 x 7 cable?
James Reynolds Yep, 7x7. Very hard to load that round. He does a great job!
That’s a well built snare should get the job done hope you are able to get some footage
GOOD GRANNY Boss! If you come across one of those snares and it's broke, better start running away. (I WOULD )! lol

Can this snare withstand more than one catch? Can you please advise....Thank you!
All snares are one use devices.
Why only 1 time use?
How to make a noose trap using elastic
Needs more hog hunters.....
That swivel would be 12/0 1300lb . Not 12 . 12 is a small swivel rated at only 20lb .
Time to put out some garlic buttered shrooms, that'll snare them any time of the day or night. Could even put out some bacon ...

tszrejna I'm sure he can do bear restraints, just give him a call.
