    This is not the first time I heard this, but you explained it so well. It makes sense.

    I just picked up a school of 15 a few weeks ago. They’ll be in quarantine for at least a month to get them temperature acclimate and to ensure they’re as stress free as possible. They’ll be joining a school of black neons in what will eventually be a discus display tank. Thank you for the words of wisdom sir. I’ll be sure to use the information you gave about these awesome little fish to ensure a smooth transition.

    I read an article similar to this and was skeptical of the true value in the science, but now that I hear this from you and you have seen these changes I am more willing to give these fish another look. Great content as always George.

    I have a school of 35 so far in my 120 gal blackwater setup. Definitely one of the best tetra's 👌

    Thankyou for going over Rummy Nose tetras. Also, thanks for the reminder to keep them in warmer water…about the same temperature as Discus. How do you feel about Cardinal Tetras in the 84-86 degrees. Too warm for them? Respectfully, Marty B.

      Cardinals will do well in that environment as well. I have some right now that are in 88 degrees and they are in perfect condition. That is the other great Tetra with Discus.

    Great video and content. I have these fish and went through several groups before I final got it right. Once you get past that first week or two they are pretty bullet proof. Thanks.

    I recently bought seven from a wholesaler at their stand at Vivarium. I actually asked for 2 bags of silver tip tetras but I think in the hustle and bustle the guy at the stand mixed one of them up. I've kept them in quarantine for a couple of weeks and they've joined the community tank last week. So far they're doing great, except for one that shot up the drop checker in the planted quarantine tank. That one is fertilising some house plants now.

    Rummy nose really dont like being with larger fish, they'll change completely if you had them in a tetra only tank. Such a cool fish👍

    Thanks! It’s not much but this is my way of apologizing for the 5:45AM call. It’s easy to forget about the 3 hour time difference. 😁🐠🐟

    Thanks for sharing George. Is there any reason you've gone for a sand bottom n not a bare bottom this time?

    • @aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto
      @aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Contrast mostly. Sand is easy to clean and replace as well.
