Hope you enjoy the video! Apologies for the background noise. We recorded this at the very end of the trade show. I had to be quick and there were a lot of people walking around.
Thanks for the video, wish I could have been there. Had the pleasure of meeting Sheldon this year and he gave me some nice ideas about putting together a fretless. Now a have 2 customs on order 😹 That wait time is SO brutal.
@@IvanBassist I'm totally sure it is 😸 Would not have done that if I wasn't sure of that! They make really beautiful instruments and I love their approach. Can't wait for the first one to arrive in a couple of months 🎉
I just wonder whether the SP1 is going to be similar quality to the super P. I was thinkig about whether ordering a canadian version or wait for this factory built SP1.

we could hear u and sheldon fine, thx u for sharing this video
Fast lane body shape looks very good. Love the concept.
This was a great video. Thanks for asking him specific questions. Dingwall is doing some great stuff.
I have been constantly refreshing the "Dingwall guitar summit 2024" search for the past 2 days in wait of this exact video 😆
Thank you Ivan!
Happy to help!
i love my D roc import 5 string but that fast lane looks next level.
It felt great!
That D Roc with the top is absolutely incredible!! 😍 amazing job as always Dingwall fam! Thanks for the share Ivan!!
Happy to help :)
I'll be getting a PJ SP1 as soon as they're readily available (in a couple years 🤣)
😂😂😂
I pre ordered last April, lol can't wait
You can preorder on reverb already for delivery march 2025
5:32 and what does a afterburner 1 in passive spec cost?
So beautiful 😍
Great job Ivan!
Thanks!
I love the SP1, really hope a production version of the Super J comes at some point
That red to white in the back looks amazing
Not my favorite color combination, but that Z3 was probably the best Dingwall I’ve ever played

The wait time is worth it, though!

Beautiful basses
Indeed!
Whats the string spacing on the 5 string P std model ? Everything looks great. I have a SUPER P on order
I think it’s 18mm. It Feels great though
will this be in a 6 string version as well i love my D roc 5 but want to get a canadian custom shop one made one day
Love the idea of the fast lane. I hate the lower horn 😭😭😭😭 Why not the Z shape……
Great video, thanks for the upload. Dumb question but is that PJ going to be an import or custom shop only?
Imports will only be PJs if I understood correctly. You can order both a P only or PJ for the Canadian models, though
@@IvanBassist ahh okay. Thanks for getting back to me so quick!
love the lolipop tuners on the SP1
Personally, I prefer the Y tuners, but I understand the decision of going for the lollipops
I like the idea of the Fast Lane, I'm just not wild about that lower horn. Looks like it's coming off at the wrong angle.
Will the import PJ come in different finishes?
Yes. Not sure which ones will be available, though. I think John Fox bass has them listed on his website
@@IvanBassist thanks!
Whats the price for the fast lane basses?
Around the 3k mark
Me encanta el super P, tendré q empezar a ahorrar para Febrero, alguien sabe q precio va a tener?
Entre 1.6-2k mas o menos
Its going to suck to finally be able to afford a Dingwall one day and then still have to wait 3 years for it to be made
That’s why it’s better to place an order and save up during the wait time ;)
I just wonder whether the SP1 is going to be similar quality to the super P. I was thinkig about whether ordering a canadian version or wait for this factory built SP1.
The SP1s that I tried felt great. Definitely the way to if you don’t want to wait too long for the canadian models and also much cheaper, too
I’m also getting a 5 string one for myself
Those basses always look awesome, but there's something with the look of the pickups that puts me off.
30 years of design and you get that🙄
Now we wait on the import Super J 🤣
