Wooow, listened to this track at least 100 times 😅 A really good remix, refers to the original one, but with a completely different vibe. Next song could be Into the Bloom. Really, Chicane - Offshore... I like it too.
You are one of my fave DJs. One of my fav remixes of yours is of Shadows by Eric Prydz. I still listen to it to cool my mind! Would love a tutorial of that one
Hey Claes - thanks so much for keeping your promise to do a breakdown of this video. You covered everything I hoped you would and remembered exactly what I'd asked in my Insta post. I know it takes time to record these breakdowns and you're very generous, not only for giving your time to do this but also for explaining how you built this masterpiece. I am amazed at how you even came up with the various parts to layer together in that intro - a real work of genius! The combination of chords, voices and arpeggiated notes come together in such a dreamy mesmerizing way and it's definitely making me think more about layering in my own production work. I'm very grateful for you doing this video and, like I said in my original post, for opening my eyes to the world of electronic music production. Thanks again, Andy Ps I guess I do have one last question!! 😊 What instrument patch / vst was used for the sampled 7th chords and the track with the midi notes layered over the intro? They sound like a mix of marimba and string pads?
Cool to get an insight in your work Claes
Thanks! :)
