My mom and dad got a divorce so we moved away and I missed my friends in the town so much. When I got older I bought a 1966 Plymouth fury and I drove back to my hometown and stayed for about a month. That song was playing on the radio the summer I was there I liked it so much then and I still listen to it and I listen to the new version it was fantastic too. But there's even more meaning to it now when he says take me back to my old home. That's where my mind goes every time I listen to the song and I still listen to it a lot. If I didnt know, I'd bet anything it was a Badfinger performance. The voices, guitar sound and whole melody sounds like them! 😊
