Chipata Youth makes fuel from plastics

A 19-year-old of Eastrise Compound in Chipata District has developed a formula for making fuel from plastic waste.
Jowetti Mwambazi, who is working with his three colleagues is making petrol and oil.
Mr Mwambazi says he developed the idea in 2020 when he was at Anoya Zulu Boys Secondary School.
He says he invested 5,000 Kwacha into the innovation.
Mr Mwambazi has called for more support from well-wishers.
Chipata City Mayor George Mwanza says he will help the young entrepreneur to enhance his innovation.
Mr Mwanza says innovative minds need to be supported.
