Stephanie Vaquer moved from Chile to Mexico, to pursue her dream of becoming a luchadora. She has won numerous titles in CMLL and is the current Women's Champion. In the past she wrestled with Stardom and even WWE when they toured Chile. Earlier this year, Stephanie got a lot of attention following her performance in New Japan ,when she wrestled Mercedes Mone at NJPW Strong Resurgence back in May 2023. So much so that NJPW has been having her back! She most recently wrestled on their Lonestar Shootout show against IWGP Women's Champion Mayu Iwatani. We talked about all of this and more. Damn Denise, you were well ahead of the curve on this one, I too knew nothing about Stephanie Vaquer before Forbidden Door 2024. She throughly impressed me in that match. After that match I went and found Some more of Stephanie's work in New Japan and some in Mexico. One thing is for sure Stephanie Vaquer is a special talent, on the level of say a Giulia, or a SAREE or Toni Storm to name a few. She's special can't wait to see what Stephanie does in the future, THE SKY'S THE LIMIT FOR THAT GIRL.
I am watching this interview straight after hearing the news of Stephanie signing with the wwe and from this interview and the Thunder Rosa interview she is humble, not after money or te fame she wants to prove to herself and every promotion that she wrestles for that she can deliver great matches and develop her character. I honestly cannot wait for her official debut in the WWE because oh my goodness is she going to turn heads.

Great interview. Stephanie Vaquer, in addition to being a great wrestler, is a sincere girl. I didn't know she was cheered loudly when she came out of the match against Mercedes Mone. That's great. She really deserves it. A pity her answer on her goals at 15:30 was cut off. I wish I knew what she said.

I known Stephanie Vaquer since her time at STARDOM, I am very happy that she can wrestle regularly with NJPW, this actually opens the door to other women in CMLL like her partner Zeuxis or her compatriot La Catalina for example. Unfortunately in terms of booking Vaquer can or will lose her title to Mercedes Mone at forbidden door, but I hope NJPW,such as Rocky Romero, will continue to bet on her talent and will bring her to Japan.Thank you for this interview Denise, I hope you can do an interview with ZSJ, Jeff Cobb and Kenny Omega in 2024
I'd counter that studying English and psychology was actually very beneficial towards a wrestling career. It shows in her work in the ring as far as psychology.
