It looks alright, but nowt can beat a proper tin of good old British baked beans. I reckon I'll stick to what I know and love, ta very much!
In my childhood and youth I had more than my share of English baked beans. In school they would cover everything, no matter what it was was covered with big scoop of baked beans until it almost came out of my nose. I like beans in many variations and what you made looks very interesting. It would be very difficult for me to find the ingredients where I live though. Have to make a pass on this one

Salt the beans like you did. Salting them at the beginning prevents them from ever getting soft.
