Man had to overcome obstacle after obstacle in order to achieve what he would go on to do, and the verses and beat do a solid job of illustrating that. I watched the anime back in the days when it was on Kids WB and Brock made jelly donuts instead of rice balls, took a break around Sinnoh, but Ash has always been the childhood friend I've been able to come back to for comfort and support no matter what. This rap cypher has to be my favourite one. Ash has been apart of my childhood since I was little. Seeing ash catch new pokemon in each region he went too, all the friends he made on his journey, and the battles he lost and won, are all very special and dear to my heart. It also helped me with some..personal struggles that I went through and still kind of go through today. But seeing ash always so happy and cheerful, it was contagious and I really want to thank you cam for making this amazing rap cypher. This one really got to me and usually rap cyphers don't make me feel his way but that's just how special pokemon is to me and to see ash leave is very sad but I wish him well on his next journey wherever it takes him. This one cut deep, man. It’s so crazy to see just how big of an impact Ash left on so many people and I honestly still can’t believe the journey is finally coming to an end. Y’all absolutely crushed not just these verses but my heart as well. I was already in tears before the final few lines 😭.
This was just such a great reminder of exactly what Ash embodied: the journey is just beginning, so what’s next? It’s crazy to me that I’m kind of moving on to the next stage in my own life at the same time Ash is moving on in his and this song reminded me to just keep my head up and smile about it. Thank y’all for being so amazing and thank you Ash for everything you’ve been to me and all these people.

As someone who has grown up with this show, it really hit me hard with all the nostalgia seeing all the past series, and feel the passion behind each verse. I am rarely moved to tears by almost anything anymore, but this was enough not only to make me cry, but be thankful for being able to experience the journey.

Cam I absolutely love this; brought me to literal tears with the end of your verse. 😢 More importantly though, I loved the fact that everyone rapped a long verse, which isn't seen much nowadays in cyphers, but this really encapsulated the journey Ash took since Pallet Town.
This is officially my favorite song of all time, not even limited to cyphers, because this masterpiece was so beautifully executed, and nothing will ever change my opinion going forward.

I… I was not expecting to get a emotional at a pokemon rap cypher, but Cam… My man.
I remember tuning in to watch pokemon when I was young. Saturday mornings, reruns after school, watching the Lugia movie 2000 so many times that the Lugia melody is permanently carved into my brain… You get the idea.
As much as I can understand twenty-odd years later that all things must end, I don’t want to see him go, even if I haven’t been following the show since middle school. But I know he has to, he’s reached his goal and BECAME the best there ever was.
Now it’s my turn to be the best Luna I can be. Thank you, Cam, and everyone on this cypher. This was exceptionally done, and in my non-music-professional opinion, you should all be very proud of this. I’d say you did him justice.

I've put off watching this one because I'm not ready to say goodbye to Ash. I watched the anime back in the days when it was on Kids WB and Brock made jelly donuts instead of rice balls, took a break around Sinnoh, but Ash has always been the childhood friend I've been able to come back to for comfort and support no matter what. I'm saying so many goodbyes irl right now, I can't say it to him yet. I still haven't watched his final episodes, but finally watched this today. And damn. Started tearing up during Kalos and just flat out sobbed at the ending. I've been having a rough time lately, and hearing those last few lines from the friend whose been with me since childhood just hit me. Thank you, Cam. Thank you to everyone who was part of this cypher. And thank you, Ash, for everything. If the new protagonist ends up meaning half as much to new fans as you've meant to me, then new fans are lucky to have an incredible lifelong friend of their own ❤️

This rap cypher has to be my favourite one. Ash has been apart of my childhood since I was little. Seeing ash catch new pokemon in each region he went too, all the friends he made on his journey, and the battles he lost and won, are all very special and dear to my heart. It also helped me with some..personal struggles that I went through and still kind of go through today. But seeing ash always so happy and cheerful, it was contagious and I really want to thank you cam for making this amazing rap cypher. This one really got to me and usually rap cyphers don't make me feel his way but that's just how special pokemon is to me and to see ash leave is very sad but I wish him well on his next journey wherever it takes him. Thanks again cam steady for the amazing Ash Ketchum rap cypher. This is easily top 3 for me.
