    Just like you, I have a gut feeling they are definitely hiding stations, especially with the "evidence" that's here. But I'll be sooooo heartbroken and sad if they indeed didn't change stations (beside FD Vision then) in the end.

      To be fair the stations used to annoy me in RTC. Most rides have a type. I can't wait for this game to come out!

    I'm alway confised when people are so shocked about the station tab. Especially when they say it wasn't its own tab in PC1... But it literally is. I was hoping that they'd have at least separate unload stations, and seeing they still had a dedicated stations tab gave me hope, but i'm losing hope tbh lol.
    But I was also wrong about ray tracing, so who knows. They could still surprise me.

      I would guess because of the new coaster builder menu is in a different place on the screen they get confused, makes it look more like the general coaster overview menu from planco1 (where there was no station tab but looks like it's neither in planco2).

    dude, you could do seperate load/unload in RCT3! Theres no reason PC, let alone PC2 shouldn't be able to have them.

    They just need to add a button for sandbox mode that automates all the staff management and I'll be happy enough. I just want the fun of building, not a part time job micro-managing employees or utilities.

    As a ride operator at Disney World, I'd be very disappointed if they don't touch up on stations, especially for dark rides. Only having 1 station is very inefficient and unrealistic when real dark rides always have 2, 4 or sometimes even 8 stations.

    I saw the glitch at the station immediately. People walking very weird and glitching through other peeps. My first thought was: ah yeah, they’re definitely hiding something. I’m convinced.
    And I’m sure with our feedback (and they are listening) the UI can be better & more intuitive after a few patches/updates. I’m not too worried about this🧐.

    One thing they could be hiding about stations is station blueprints. They've really gone all in with providing us with blueprints for all kinds of shops and rides. Sometimes I want to build my own custom coaster but don't want to have to build and decorate a realistic station. Think about it - EVERYTHING so far that they've shown us has theming and decoration (even flat rides) except stations. That's super weird.

    My wants for PC2:
    - more realistic statistics (recreations in PC1 were almost always considered boring by guests...)
    - better stations (smaller/larger stations, double, seperate load/unload, continuous, wheel,...)
    - less unused space on flat rides

      They need to do something to the stats so time spent on block brakes doesn't kill the excitement rating. In real life you don't suddenly decide that a thrilling coaster is less exciting because you ended up stacking on the final brakerun a bit before entering the station.

    I hope they aren't crunching to finish the game before Christmas. As much I believe crunch is never good, I especially would hate to think Frontier was overworking their developers on a project that was not a particularly massive upgrade on PC1.

    It seems remarkably silly for them to rework everything but leave stations untouched. They've been showing off so many changes and new features, only for the stations to look and operate the same. I have faith.

    Yeah, I think it’s odd that they aren’t marketing all of these things early. I know they are very different games but another one I’ve been keeping track of is dragon ball sparking zero and both games come out about a month a part and the marketing for that game started months before this one. With such a short window between the start of planet coasters marketing and the release of the game, you would think they would have more to show already. Hopefully I’m wrong and their marketing strategy is drop everything all at once, within the weeks leading up to the game.

    All the stuff that's already in there is almost enough for me to pre-order a game for the first time. When the stations get more features (separate loading unloading would be amazing! You can do that in RCT2...) and the UI get's adjustments for PC, they can have my money. No doubt.
    Also what about security? Will it end up in a DLC?

    If ride operators are pointless, then vendors are pointless. Nobody complains about the vendors. I'm not complaining about the ride operators. I like the extra immersion.

      It won't be so immersive when your flagship rollercoaster keeps shutting down because the operator went for a smoke break and your spare only just started pathing towards it from a staffroom leaving it unattended, like with shops. Shops can get away with it, Rides can't - you suddenly close and leave your ride unattended in any IRL park, you wont be coming back to it because you'd immediately be fired for gross misconduct. You've clearly don't know much about theme parks if you think the Operators behaving like Vendors will be "immersive"

But yes that is how it happens in real life.. however .. in real life that's also how it works for Retail and F&B workers.. But in game they just leave their assigned shops when they want before closing up behind them triggering the 'relief' to make their way over to the empty closed shop leaving downtime. It isn't noticeable or that deep with vendors and shops but when that happens with every single ride and coaster multiple times a day , on top of breakdowns.. not so much.

    Ya it’s stupid to add ride attendants as a separate character if they don’t do anything. Like if we have unload stations then adding more team members makes sense. Or having them in 4 spots to check restraints. A grouper would be nice too but hey it’s just a game called planet coaster

    Just seems weird that they would make ZERO updates to stations after adding literally everything else we wanted. Stations were a huge pain point of the first game and arguably worse than other things they improved upon in PC2.

    I'd love to see Admin staff that can simulate the behind the scenes aspect of theme parks. Like a HR department that will automate staff wages and training but you have to provide them better conditions. A marketing team that can encourage people to ride certain rides or visit during certain times.

    I have the feeling that things like switch tracks etc were an after thoughts once they relised pools etc wasnt exactly what most wanted. I feel the hiding of the stations is because they dont want to outright say they havnt done anyting to them. I hope im wrong but the game seems to have a serious case of consillitis. The amount of fun managment features they could have added, busy and not so busy times of day and year and having to keep the park profitable during those periods. Same as with weather. Rides, coasters and out door pools could become un usable in bad weather and we would have to keep guests in the park with indoor pools and rides etc. They could have given us much deeper coaster and ride maintenance. Maybe we would have to order parts or keep them in stock etc or downtime gets extended. But we get gimmicks! An alergy system that looks to be a micro managment hell. What will end up happeneing is people will now just spam down multiple of the same shop, all with different settings to be able to cover all dietary needs for that one shop. I see very little this time round for the hardcore players!

    I think there must be stations that fit to the ride. A big realistic for example wooden station packed in a wooden house for this big coaster and for example - like you told - a rotating station for the rafting boats or a ongoing station for the log flumes, without stopping the boats. That would be realistic for No. 1 and it would be great.

    They still have one deep dive to go. This is supposed to be a NEW Planet Coaster game and what have they done to the og coasters????? Added switch and drop tracks and a few more styles of coasters and decorating coaster cars. OK. It makes total sense to hold off on telling us about coaster station changes and coaster station options until the very last publicity moment and BOOM.....mad rush of pre-orders and heightened buzz about the game just a couple of weeks before game release.
    What they need to do is hit real life merch in a serious way. Who wouldn't want some Fox Street Coffee Shop coffee mugs for their real life morning cup of joe??? I want a Hat's Fantastic baseball cap or beanie to wear grocery shopping. A t-shirt with Cosmic Cow on it??? Yes, please and I'd wear that to church! ! ! !
    And every video game company would benefit from a an additional revenue stream.

    I would like to think that the operator staff is there to reduce the ride load time. They placed a lot of emphasis on the ride queue time impacting guest’s preference for rides so I wondered if adding additional ride ops (maybe up to 3 or 4) would speed up station operations.
    Just a thought I had. I hope they will have a toggle for all these extra management features like they do for security because while I enjoy the management side, I know most people want to sit back and relax more with a built park.

    Nice to see shuttle mode on the monorail is back! Also I did see a new "cable car" under the transport tab. Is this maybe the trams that RCT2 used to have? Would be great to see them come back! Would be nice to see a deep dive into the new scenery items as well. Hopefully it will be possible to create "custom" scenery brushes over the included in-game ones they previously showed.

    For some of the younger viewers, back in the day when games came out exclusively on a disc the game developer would put out a "gold" disc version of the game disc that would get sent to the publisher for shipping. Changes could no longer be made at that point. Since PC2 is exclusively digital, Frontier can easily make changes all the way up until release day. So we literally have no idea what is going to be in the game at this point.

    They're definitely still working a lot (and I mean a lot) of things out... For example, they don't have the security guard staff member in this build. Having them both in Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster, I'd be very puzzled if they don't make a return.

    What i really miss is a "continous testing" where a coaster train comes to the piece i am building every two seconds. It always takes so long at the end of a track to wait for the test train just to see, it has not enough speed.

    Stations I'd love to see: Unloading/Loading; Parallel (aka: Dual-loading); Series (aka: Loading two cars at once, like Indiana Jones Adventure); Rotary Conveyor (River Rapids); Linear Conveyor belt (Omnimovers, Harry Potter); ... and then I wouldn't mind seeing the operator booth be free to move around (overlooking station, overlooking ride/separate tower, etc). There's also the complexity of considering if there's mini operator consoles (usually for restraint operators), loading/grouping operators, etc....

    It would be cool if they realistically showed the ride operators walking around tidying up and adjusting people's safety (like the salespeople who appear preparing things before handing them over to the counter for visitors). It would be more immersive

      it would be a fail to have a ride attendand as an ACTUAL staff member, yet they are just...there? They have all these amazing and carefully designed animations for vendors, mechanics etc. including varios tasks you can chose from. Why would this one be different?

    I expect that if seperate unloading stations aren’t in a launch, they will come at some point later. My main reason for this is: because slides do it, so technically it’s possible to spit guests out somewhere else then where they came in. Then seperate stations would expectedly be possible too. *fingers crossed*

    I would like dual side by side load stations (Big Thunder, Galactica, Space Mountain in Paris) most of all, followed secondly by separate load/unload stations. Continuously boarding stations like hagrid’s motorbike ride, Voltron, and wonder woman would be the icing on top considering they will have them for dark rides apparently.

      If thats true, actually that would be the most sloppy marketing and showcasing ever. Its very obvious they hide it.
      I don´t think its much, but one last mega feature with new stations would make people go crazy!

    I'm confident that they are changing stations, I may be wrong, but hear me out, the community have been louder about stations and transfer tracks than flipping drop tracks for example, and they got the whole set of special elements of Intamin's Multi-Dimensional coaster, and even tampered with super small details and stuff that makes you think that they're saving this for a big reveal. I mean, it's not something you'd easily hide, so it makes sense that they used an August build, so most of these changes are kept out of public knowledge. Yeah, I'm with you, Rudi.

    They still haven't properly explored track rides, or mentioned dark rides in a deep dive at all afaik. Perhaps the station upgrades would be discussed with that? Idk though

    separate/multiple loading/unloading stations with switch/transfer tracks would be the cherry on top in terms of making "realistic" rides.
    an ability to make some kind of transparency mask on video screens and billboards would be amazing. an ability to place a custom sound speaker and draw an area of where the sound could be heard kind of like how they showed you can draw those "staff areas" would be super cool.
    maybe if you could make like a "trigger zone", that entities like guests or a ride could crossover that would activate something would be a more dynamic method to lay out things with event sequencers

    One thing i still havent seen and i am kinda scared of not being included in the base game are fireworks. I was really happy to see the very much improved sequencer, and now i am also hoping for better animated fireworks and more variation or customization

    Interresting video ! I actually would like to be able to do loading / unloading stations at least, but dual loading and a continuous loading station for the omnimover ride and for a new kind of boat ride with a giant rotating station will be a cool surprise.

    The whole station system revamp and new behaviors for ride operators such as checking restraints feel like potential free update points instead of being there on release ngl. What can they possibly add as features other than hotels, restaurants and modular gift shops? (again for those of us that play Planet Zoo unfortunately)

    Yeah, there is something to that broken dive coaster station - not only from an a.i. perspective but more importantly from a design perspective as well. The art on that station is straight up unfinished.
    In PlanCo1, if a dive coaster station has the entrance & exit on the same side, there is a wide dedicated exit lane between the metal aisle gates. This lane is completely missing in PlanCo2, with no equivalent in sight.
    So hopefully it's a sign that stations are still WIP and that they will show the final stations later, because why change the assets of the stations themselves if they're just going to be the exact same as PlanCo1?

    I think it would have been too complicated for the ops Check the harnesses that would have had to adapt their animation to each type of harness. It would have been cool that there was a backpack system, visitors come with bags and an op passes with a cart next to the train like that there is no animation of Check of lap bar to do! But we could also have imagined a locker system!

    I don't have high hopes for new stations for one reason, they showed off the special tracks when half of them didn't have an animation and were buggy/unfinished. I understand it was an earlier version and those aspects are probably much closer to being polished for release by now, but they showcased them unfinished so that we could all see that they do exist and we can build hype for what's to come. New stations and load/unload switch tracks would be a critical part of management, and I'd think they would have at least showed that they exist in this deep dive (especially if there are multiple: dual, load/unload, continuous, etc). They wouldn't have to show them in action, only that they exist, and we'd all go bananas over it. They specifically didn't. Which either means they don't exist, or they won't exist until later, and I agree that this doesn't seem like something they'd introduce later. I believe we still have 1 or 2 more deep dives before launch, so perhaps they will surprise us, but it also seems like this was definitely the appropriate dive for this information. It's up in the air, but my hopes for new stations isn't as high as I'd like based on this

    Im really sad, that they don't really improve the campaign on a big scale. My dream would be to play as a manager running in first person through the park and manage rides especially testing new ones. And then go into my office and do advertisement meeting and finances. Maybe plan the year how much staff I need in summer vacation and stuff like that. Bring the came to the next level frontier!

    since we saw the videos by the people who played the early version, Lot's of visual bugs were present for those tilt and drop tracks. So my guess that same might be happening with those stations and other stuff, just stuff that's not ready to showcase yet. In these deep dive they just want to show the stuff that's close to finished. and about the ride operator management, i thought it was weird it was not in the first game since we did had to manage other staff. staff that is also just operating a shop and going on a break so, i dont think its weird at al.

    My biggest concern is the staff management. I just don't know anyone who thought to themselves "gosh... I wish I could micromanage my staff." It's literally the worst part of being a manager IRL, I don't know why they add it to a game. As far as stations, honestly, I'd never really thought about it, but certainly separate onloading and offloading stations would be wonderful (with the option to put them together, of course). Soooo many track rides would significantly benefit from this (coasters, too!).

    The ingredient thing isn't new, it was in Planco 1 too.
    I don't think people are too negative about this game at all. I think lots of them feel like a kid in a candy store and give Frontier too much slack. It's been 8 years since Planco 1, that's a considerable amount of time. Planco 1 is now in it's endgame, which means it's pretty polished. Planco 2, however, is in release state. There will be bugs, it will be somewhat clunky. A healthy critical attitude only keeps you from being a bit dissapointed with it.

    Why would they litterally change everything but the stations?! They did more to this game than I could ever expect. Frontier is dropping a game in a state that is very rare nowadays. I feel like there is not a single thing missing so far. They did more than an excellent job! Stations will be revealed in the end and I have the feeling they will surprise us😊.

    I feel like the game is still a little undercooked when I look at the date it's supposed to be released. I honestly expect them to delay it a little bit. The UI feels really rough still as well. And there are a lot of panels that look and feel completely different and incoherent. I wouldn't even be surprised if we got a cities skylines 2 situation.

    I'm more concerned and worried about it. If you're wrong and there's not really a big thing kept as a secret, why are they tiptoeing around it? - probably because its not polished enough and maybe not working as intended (which is why we see the glitches even in the presentation...). With so little time left and preorders already going in, I personally think its unlikely that there's a "twitst" or some unrevealed stuff - because why not include it into the marketing? it wouldnt make sense in my opinion. Feels more like they have trouble in developing that part, but I hope I'm wrong with that or they at least figure it out in time...

    I’m so on the fence and I really really don’t want to be as I loved planet coaster. I’m sure the game will be amazing even if it was a carbon copy of pc1 with just some qol improvements. But this deep dive made me a little scared. But I’m hoping we see more soon and that will ease my mind just like the rides and dlc.
    When they first announced release date and showed a deluxe version I was salty because I instantly thought well why isn’t it in the base game. We’ve just payed for heaps of dlc for 1 and was worried it would all happen again by giving us a small amount and dlc after dlc but I can honestly say with the amount of content that seems to be in base game I am more than happy to preorder the deluxe version next pay day as it really does seem like we are getting a fully fleshed out game… and water parks. Which honestly I’ll build but I wouldn’t say I was desperate for.
    But what scared me either this deep dive is how much management needs done. I mean, even setting down 1 flat ride and 1 shop looks like we now need to set up staff, the shifts the staff will work, maybe even enough staff that cover breaks, if park is open 12 hours does that mean we need 2 shifts and a break cover person? Seems like a game in itself! But hopefully it’s not as scary 😂

    Hope as well they do something for the stations, they were always a dull thing in PC1.
    Btw.: Whats your opinion on Pre-Order and Day1 DLC?
    I personally think the Pre-Order stuff is just sad to begin with, givin the current state of hustle for money. Even if i dislike the fact that there is a day 1 dlc, i get the point. But that aside: only 2 really "new" rides??? And a big question that bugs me towards the dlc: is there gonna be theming elements in there as well?? Cuz it seems like there isnt gonna be "vintage" or "classic" theming in the base game and without it bringin in these rides seems kinda odd...
    Still as a big fan i gonna pre-order the deluxe edition next month, but with a bitter aftertaste
    (Edit.: and i got the feeling that some stuff just got added for the sake of adding "new" stuff, leaving me with a fear of overcomlicating the mechanics with the generators, pool pipes, ride attendants, ect. Hope there is an option to turn these of for sandbox, to get a few extra % on the oswald counter freed)

      When Planet Zoo was released they offered a deluxe version for only a limited time in the beginning, with 3 "exclusive" animals, "nobody else would get". I was stupid enough to buy it for more money. Why was it stupid?Because (as always) after a little amount of time they offered these animals via another dlc to everybody. Meanwhile that dlc has been on sale for many times... It will be the same with PlanCo2: After a while they will sell all the vintage stuff of the Pre-order version to everybody as a dlc. And after another while this dlc will be more and more reduced in price. So is it worth to pre-order? The answer is: YES, if you are unpatient but NO if you are patient and can wait.

      Actually, put aside it will be available in 2 years maybe again, I think the price point of the full deluxe pre order is mega fair. Yes I know I potentially will not pay it, but in relation to other games (in and out of the genre) what you get for the money is amazing. These rides are classic theme park rides I certainly wouldn't want to miss.
      But you will survive with normal pre order. As always frontier won't lock any functionality behind dlcs, that's why you "only" get coasters and rides. I think that's super fair

I just wanted to point out that you will get everything for a lower price after a while and that "exclusive content" isn´t that exclusive anymore after a while. Was it really 2 years until they offered those 3 animals to the rest? That´s longer than I thought tbh. but if I have to wait 2 years for the vintage stuff that´s totally okay for me. But that´s my personal choice and to be unpatient is totally okay. :)

    It's predictable that the ride operator is for new stations.
    ride operator - Is for multiple stations now. They just haven't said it yet, so you want the normal load/unload station like PC1, then ONE ride operator. You want a load station and a unload station, then you need TWO ride operators. You want a five car carousel for loading passengers TWO ride attendants, you want 10 cars in the carousel, THREE ride attendants. I think we will see coasters with more than one ride attendants, other wise why bother adding them ?
    It is the last thing missing that we all complained about.
    We got Dark Rides.
    We got batter pathing.
    We got better employee management / employee zoning
    We got better rides
    We got better editing features
    We got Water Parks
    They have given us everything we have asked for, so stations are clearly coming.
    DLC - Will be adding miniature golf and resorts. Plust addition rides and themes.
    The game's foundation looks solid, so some updates to the UI and we have a game that will be fun to play for 5 plus years.
    HOPING to see some additional coaster building features. Still want to be able to build a coaster, and in building mode add a section that is not attached, for a certain ride section, so I can then link it up with the rest.
    Best example of this, is a coaster that goes in and out of a 20 story building. Where on floor 10, I stop the coaster have a scene play out, then send the coaster to floor 20 for another scene, and end on floor 1. I want to be able to build the coaster section floor 10, floor 20 and floor 1, then go back and link them together. This would be helpful in passenger moving rides too, like monorails or trains. Being able to drop the stations where I want them and then link them up after, would allow stations to be built into my buildings for a better aesthetic.
    The old PC1 building and PC2 building method for a coaster would not allow this, but I sure mods will be available when this releases.

    After seeing this video, I tryed to find Planco1 content before the release, and I found One of your first videos from Planc1Alpha from May 2016 half a year before Release of Planco1. Frontier is more secretive now than before the launch of Planco1. You can find many TH-camrs (like you) who created content on planco1 alpha, already in May, the year of the launch. Strange that none of you TH-camrs have had early access and were able to create content on Planco2 early before launch.
