The literary criticism is the process of evaluating, measuring and criticizing a literary work while the literary theory is the framework upon which we base our judgement.
Critics issued the literary theories to form a well organised judgement that is not based on our personal response.

not necessarily focus on historical and social values, sometimes the focus is on psychological elements or philosophical influence, or linguistic or pragmatic factors and elements.
