I was raised by my Mother in the Pentecostal Church. I knew what being filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in toungs was, as I had heard my mother speak many times. I was married and had two children by the age of 16. So you see I went my own way very early. We would visit the Church my Mom belonged to from time to time. I always could feel the spirit in the church but never acted on it. (Going to the alter to be saved) My mom was very active in her church, so I know she is being blessed in Heaven. The last time I visited her church with her, she started speaking in toungs, but this time was different. The music went to playing softly and she was speaking as if she was saying a speech and the Paster was saying something in English. This went on for several minutes. I found out later that he was translateing what my mom was saying! I didn’t know that this was something that could be done, as I have never heard of this before. It was a blessing to have been able to hear and see this happen. I am saved now and I watch Rev. Swaggert and his family on tv. I feel the Spirit from the Church as I sit in my tv room watching. I have not been filled with the Holy Ghost, but I feel like the words are trying to come out, I just have not made it there yet. I’m always praying to Jesus when they have the alter call.

I accepted the baptism of the Holy Spirit on my 11th birthday back in 1963. I strayed from the Lord while fighting the communists in Nam. Sowed quite a few wild seeds while on leave - doing all manner of perversion on streets and back alleys of Bangkok, but always felt my lord and savior was protecting me. Jesus allowed me to acquire VD in order to save me from death. While on leave my squad was ambushed and every man killed. When I returned home due to VD complications (itchy warts on my penis). When back stateside, I returned to the little church where I had been spirit filled as a boy. In an empty sanctuary I got down on my hand and knees and asked god to heal my private area, and I re-dedicated my life to serving him. I have never strayed since.
