    Hi Professor D, may you please clarify why choice C was the answer for the last question in the video? I was just confused because with choice B I felt like they had an airway issue with the clogged feeding tube, and with choice D their O2 sat was even lower than choice C's O2 sat, please explain :(

    • @jackiematney7789
      @jackiematney7789 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A clogged feeding tube doesn't affect the airway as air doesn't go though it. It goes into the stomach not lungs, so any obstruction only affects tube feed/nutrients getting to the patient. The only reason I would think option D isn't the answer is b/c O2 levels are always lower in Bronchitis due to excess music obstructing the airway. I would still think 89 is low, but maybe that's the rationale they used. If Professor D could confirm hat would be great!

  • @lemonlemonade5669

    • @mindyourbusiness318
      @mindyourbusiness318 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i believe because you want the pt to have 95-100% unless the have COPD if im not mistaken…. anything below 95% means they aren’t perfusing correctly….& the clogged feeding tube is through the GI tract not respiratory so maybe it isn’t in a danger of compromising the pts airway?idk i could be wrong but the clogged feeding tube wouldn’t kill a pt vs someone with a 92% o2 sat
