- The back hip, back knee and back foot can deliver a lot of force to the ball, yet some players often use only their upper body in their swings. This can limit power potential. You should drive your back hip and back knee toward the pitcher when batting, finishing with the laces on your back foot facing the pitcher.
There are two great batting drills that can help you better utilize your lower half. The first baseball drill forces you to focus on your backside mechanics. The second batting drill can help you get a “jumpstart” on driving your back heel toward the pitcher.

??? You must respect people and work hard to be in shape. And I used to train very hard. When the other players went to the beach after training, I was there kicking the ball. Pele !!!

It’s not all together coach ,but a chain reaction. Hips create torque turn torso which turns arms which turns implements, bats, shot puts, discus hammer javelin ect.
A couple of things are wrong here. If you observe the hitters back foot, he squishes the bug--that is, his arch and heel come off the ground but he rotates on the ball of his back foot. Not a single big league hitter does that. All big league hitters come completely off the back foot to the point of the toe. Second, at front foot strike at the completion of the stride the front foot should be flared open to about a 45 degree angle. That permits the hips to fire through during the swing and not get restricted or blocked. This hitter lands with the front foot almost straight.
if you don't like what u see look at something else instead of typing a paragraph. Weirdo
@@johnrudolph5694 My, didn't you author an original reply! I assume the money you make from your paper route is not enough for you to afford to move out of your parent's basement?
@@dape8993 uh soo im assuming you think im older than i am, btw im committed to Vanderbilt and what are you, some nerd that loves enjoyment from comebacks?
@@johnrudolph5694 No, I am assuming you are an idiot and your responses are proving my point. With your English skills (or lack thereof), the only way you would be admitted to Vanderbilt would be as part of the campus toilet cleaning crew.
I agree with you its bad info being pushed.
Tip shave ur bat like all those travel ball teams that think they r good they all cheat
