Yeah, w is easier to hit for fs and if you hit the center it will do more dmg than q

w center's exterior is guaranteed hit, unless the xerath suck at aiming or unless enemy got mobility to dodge, compared to q, which can be dodged without mobility
the center of w does more dmg than q, and the center's exterior of w does less dmg than q

Nemesis what do you think about building Ludens into malignance on xerath and lux instead of horizon focus as the second slot? The stats are similar but I find being pesky with malignance ult spam feels very strong. It’s also cheap and I like having extra mana to spam/check bushes and stuff.
