Regarding to farmer's passport issue al Lagos immigration - I could relate to very well! I had my passport switched with another european traveller's one in same place. My passport was handed over from that 2nd counter to a wrong person before I got to that counter. This traveller did not check his received passport anymore either. By luck I was able to catch the person just before he entered the taxi and get our passports switched back again. Lots of funny stories from Mohammed Murtala airport... 😉

An emergency travel document, under normal conditions, should not take more than 24hrs. However, no Nigerian embassy or high commission can be considered normal, and it is absolutely possible (if not likely) that said document took 3 months instead 24hrs.
I fully believe the Nigerian. That officer should know better than to believe their own bulshit that a document will be replaced in two days. 2 days to issue emergency documents to someone with no primary id in a foreign country, from a country full of fake documents. These women find red flags along the way but when confronted the scammers always have an explanation for everything. They are hooked so they say but I say they are being voodooed. This pig farmer guy reminded me of these scammers.

I finally see how Lagos, Nigeria looks like. Lately , I was drawn into watching in TH-cam people being scammed of all their life savings, lost 401 k, their house and sold their priced possessed jewelries. The scammers have their way of grooming these unsuspecting women to be their lover under someone else’s stolen identity. Once the scammers got their full attention they started asking for money leaving them penniless within the course of 6 months. Come to find out they were tracked down, they all live in Lagos Nigeria. These women find red flags along the way but when confronted the scammers always have an explanation for everything. They are hooked so they say but I say they are being voodooed. This pig farmer guy reminded me of these scammers.
