I will never understand going through all of that to do a roller set and a wrap just to flat iron it again....her hair looked sooooo good after the wrap!
Karen Piper I think she wanted to show two looks.
Gives it more body. Wraps are so flat, you lose any curls every night when you wrap it, but with the roller set it keeps the bend and body in it longer even after it's wrapped at night.
Karen Piper I also think curls are not as popular these days. The dead straight look is preferred.
Most likely that the person didn't like the wrapped look but because it gives you a mostly straight you actually can use a much lower heat

Remember in her relaxer video people where saying her hair looked unhealthy natural and she wouldn't be able to care for relaxed hair. Well all y'all nasty naturals are quiet now aren't you.
Anyone thought she know how to take care of her relaxer hair just fine and natural just wasn't for her? I'm not even relaxed but it was her choice

Although it was very pretty after the wrap I can understand why the client choose the alternative style. From my personal experience with this length, certain styles tend to age younger people. She possibly wanted something a bit more youthful. Tierra did a Beautiful job executing both styles as always!!!!

I loved the style after you took the Saran Wrap down. I am going to try that on my hair next week! I don’t care for the flat iron look, because that’s how my hair falls naturally after two/three days. But thanks for the suggestion on the perm rods.

could the end resulting hair style have been achieved without the roller set and the suran wrap? since you wound up flat ironing anyway? or did the other two processes allow you to flat iron with only one pass? just seemed like a lot to wind up with a flat ironed hair style

I see why you used the perm rods because I was thinking the band was going to leave a demarcation line at the base of the curl but I see it didn't. You taught me something new... thanks! that new cut looks great on her and you did that gurl!
I liked the results from just the roller set and the wrap so much better it had so much more body and bounce. Didn't need the flat iron.

I liked the results from both looks. But if I had to choose I'd go with the second look. I love the curls but a slayed wrap was always my go to style back in the day. Now that I am natural, my hair does something strange when I try to straighten it. For that reason I keep my hair braided.
I'm curious as to why do a roller set and then straighten it. is it because the client changed her mind or is there a benefit of doing the roller set first.
