The Getty also, combines the two things that I love, art and history; I guess that is part of why it is where I retreat to when I need a mental health day. Also, I have always loved that stag beetle picture.

As a college student I really enjoyed learning about the history behind the Getty center. The most interesting part about this museum is the love that people have for it. If you listen close to the man that was interviewed, he was very educated on how the building was built. I found this video to be informative on the Getty center and it has sparked an interest for me apon the subject.

As a collage student what surprised me the most with this specific museum was the materials used when build it. The most interesting material used was alumni because if the flexibly and the lack of reflection. I was able to learn about the past of the Getty and how it was built which I find very informative. The topic I would like to watch with this series is cultural art.

As an art history student, I am surprised by how many different sectors are connected to the Getty. One of the things I learned in class was how many art pieces have traveled throughout the world, especially when they're a few centuries old, so I was surprised when the Getty funds outsider projects. I am also surprised at how the Getty was able to bring stone from the Quarry in Ancient Rome to a modern museum in California, as it is used to decorate an area that demonstrates art throughout time, and hope to teach it to the visitors that pass by.

I like brachiosaurs too. Paleoart in all its forms has meant much more to me during the pandemic.

I have seen that bug sooo many times and now feel like I need to go look at it again through "budding entomologist" eyes. 🤣
