Interesting channel I found, I wonder how familiar you might be with the Order of Christ, the Portuguese order founded in 1319 to harbor templars escaping Philip IV of France and the Pope. If you're not familiar with the close ties between Portugal and the knights templars then you might find it odd, but Portugal was an important nation back then and their first king was a templar himself. The Order of Christ still exists albeit not in full capacity and their grandmaster has been the King or President of Portugal since 1420. I'd rather not go into more detail because I'd just bore you if you are familiar with it, otherwise that's a nice spiritual and historical research to dive into on your own if you're interested.
@@TravelingTemplar Nice to see! Very focused on Tomar specifically. Afonso Henriques, son of a crusader, was partially raised by templars and called them brothers, so it's widely accepted that he was probably a templar king and Portugal was the first templar nation.
Good to see you on here. Subscribed.
Yee haw! Welcome, SK!

Yes. I'm familiar with that order. I talked about them briefly here: www.travelingtemplar.com/2024/06/the-templar-city-of-tomar.html
