@@DawidDoesTechStuff this is super helpful. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a modern build and I want it to be a pretty quiet system. Loved the 500DX, was my first real case after ascending from prebuilts. A month ago, after 4 years of use, I replaced it with a Silent Base 802 and got myself my first 360mm liquid cooler with it, the EK Nucleus CR360. Love this case even more.
The final settings for the lights make the PC look fantastic classy. I have zero experience building PCs and am looking to make a quiet cheap gaming one starting from a Ryzen 7600 ( easy to cool, still performs okay ), that's how I found this video.

Pure Base 500DX is the case I current have. Love it. I think I spent more time deciding on case than any of the other components. I have always had massive cases but this case has plenty of room. I like the contacts for the front. I installed a 360 rad in the front and moved the 3rd fan to the top to give the other one a friend. I like that the front dust filter can be pulled out without taking off the front panel. 3 easy to access and clean filters keep the inside clean while still having good airflow and still being quiet (who would have thunk).
Finished build is pretty nice. Even those lights and I’m not Mr RGB. Needing to buy a couple 120mm fans and had been eyeing some bequiets. Typically I’d only buy noctua, but always good to see what else is out there.
About the Case, there is a RGB Strip hidden in the Top, also besides controlling it from Software the Case has some build-in RGB Effects that can be selected with one of the Front Switches.
That is the case from my first build. Great case, easy to build in, decent RGB that is there but not too flashy and 3 140MM fans which is crazy for a case at that price. Also enough room (barely) to fit a Kingpin 3090 with front mounted radiator.
I got this case for my first real PC build and I think its great apart from one thing, the cable management bar. This is the first video which used a thick 24 pin power cable and showed how it can be made to go through that 90 degree cable management bar (routed it to the bottom corner), so thank you Dawid you helped me avoid buying a cablemod. P.S: avoid a mATX board with this case, you'll have to route your USB cables right up against that bar and they will also get in the way of your power cable.
I have this case and it was a dream to build in. I decided not to add RGB and instead just added two more pure wings 2 fans to the build. Now that I've seen some RGB fans in it though, I am a little tempted.
Honestly dude with how you're unafraid to point out flaws in sponsored stuff I'm happy to take your word at face value even for fully-disclosed ads. Would have gotten this exact case if it were available and affordable here in the Philippines at the time I was building just cuz it looks like an amazing beast, but I ended up with a decidedly less performant one. Ah shame. Always room for a sexy desktop chassis the next time around though!
Be Quiet is probably my favorite component manufacturer at the moment. I tend to like Cooler Master cases more, but everything else in my personal build is Be Quiet.
Same, my gaming/editing pc is fully made from Be Quiet and my older multimedia/server pc is made from Be quiet mixed with Cooler Master. Both good value, not the cheapest but both good quality! (Especially Be Quiet!)
Those Tuf cards are great when it comes to cooling and noise. Even on my oced Tuf 3080 Ti I can not hear anything on the quiet bios even under full load at 350 watts and temps rarely even hit 70.
I built my pc with the same case. I used the BeQuiet silent loop 360mm AIO. I like the subtle lighting on the water block and the radiator can easily be topped off if the water level gets low.
In my latest (and first) build I went for a 500DX combined with a Dark Rock Pro 4 and I absolutely love how quiet it is. Even under high load it keeps my 5900X at a solid 65°C without making a sound. Absolutely jaw-dropping
I've had this case for about a year. I built a beast into this case, msi MEG x570 Ace, 5800x, rx 6800xt midnight ed, Samsung gen4 m.2 ssd, Arctic 280mm AIO. It looks amazing, clean and blacked out with subtle lighting from the case shining on a few polished metal accents. Very easy to work with and high quality components. Only complaint (which is not unique to this case) is that if the rear and top are populated with 140mm fans, the power cable for the cpu is a very snug fit, especially if, as in my case, the cpu has 2 connectors. Otherwise, a fantastic build experience.
I bought this case for my first PC build in like 20 years and could not be happier with it. My only wish was that the front strip RGB was addressable, but it syncs well to addressable with the various options. Dropped two additional 140mm so I’ve got two front, two top, and one rear with a BeQuiet! Cooler and it’s still whisper quiet! Glad to see Dawid review it! [Edit: The case IS addressable RGB and I stand corrected. The Dawid watchers assist again!]
I made a similar build a few days ago, and I can say that this case has ARGB, did you try holding the RGB button on the front of the case for 3 seconds and connected the ARGB cable to your motherboard or ARGB controller? It works great with my Razer Chroma ARGB controller and the effects looks awesome.
I believe the low noise comes from the fact the fans are 140mm and push more air with less RPM as well as the added fan blades and texture on the blades. The ones included with the case are also super quiet. I have my fan curves setup to push them between 80 and 90 percent when gaming and they are super quiet. The nasty Wraith is the one that causes most of the noise but it will go away soon.
A tip for those who own this case, removing the front panel is so much easier if u cut a bit off top and bottom of each plastic pin head. Try cutting litlle by litlle till u reach the desired amount of force aplied. Its good to do, cause ull need to open it regularly to clean the dust filter...

Thanks Dawid for making this video. Yes I too own an Alienware Robot Vagina. If it croaks which the 1000W PSU lasted only 8 months. I plan on buying Be Quiet parts and build an AM4 PC by transferring the Ryzen 3800X and RTX 2070 Super into the new case. That Be Quiet case looks really nice.
Thanks for the video, always enjoy them, did a new build with those same fans, and was pleasantly surprised at their low noise and factor of air movement, nice!
How timely! I just refreshed my system last week with a new case and I used the white 500DX. I upgraded my GPU about a year ago with a Power Color Hellhound 6700xt Spectral White edition, so when I upgraded my case, I went with white as well. I also threw on one of the Vetroo V5 tower coolers in white, too. I set all the RGB to white and it looks better than I though it would.
I literally just built my new PC in this case and through a combination of both trial and error and this video I have now realised multiple things I could have done better / differently to avoid the pain I had with cable management
This is pretty much the only TH-cam channel I've ever seen where advertorial videos either aren't complete cringe or anger me to the point of wanting to hurl my mouse through the monitor.
I built in this case the day this video came out, but am only seeing it now - transplanted an old system and the only hiccup was stupidly not putting in the 8 pin motherboard connector before the motherboard itself.. I have the larger bequiet cooler and instead of removing the top fan, tried for about an hour jamming my fingers into that tiny space at the top left , haha. Loving the case though! Those fans take it to another level - might have to get some!
Also made the mistake of not realising my mobo doesn't have a usb-C header for the front connection - just a thing to check for those looking at this case.

I thought the Front Fans would clash with the Front Panel RGB Strips, but when you set them all to Orange I couldn't help letting out a 😍PHWOAAAAR!
I do love me some be quiet!
Hahaha 🤣 yeah Shane! Be quiet 😅
I love how open and unabashed you are with sponsored vids.
My first build was in that case but white and man did i love that case! easy to build in and looks clean.. great build video Dawid!
Great to see you doing normal PC builds again Dawid- great video as always. Thanks also for the info about DX 11 vs. 12- will have to give that a try!
Suuuper clean build, the brushed metal top on the Shadow Rock gives it a sort of industrial vibe and really ties in the case and mobo. Love it.
I don't normally watch AMD builds...but when I do, it'll be Dawid's builds.
That’s a really nice build. If I didn’t just get a new gaming pc a few months ago, I would be buying the case and fans.
I literally just built in the white version of this case 2 days ago. Cool to see you do a video on it
I love be quiet. I always use there stuff, never had any issues.
I literally just built my new PC in this case and through a combination of both trial and error and this video I have now realised multiple things I could have done better / differently to avoid the pain I had with cable management
beste case i ever had. its fantastic. silent cool and decent looking.
This is pretty much the only TH-cam channel I've ever seen where advertorial videos either aren't complete cringe or anger me to the point of wanting to hurl my mouse through the monitor.
Your videos always cheer me up Dawid! Thank you for puting a smile on my face :-)
6:59 As a person who's built PCs from Ye Olde Days of "Ketchup and Mustard" I'm glad that segment is sped up.
I actually use be quiet for my dad's build and the noise levels is so low and the temps is very good.
I really enjoy your videos man. They're so relaxing, especially with the music choice lol.
I'm glad youtube recommended me your channel finally
I built in this case the day this video came out, but am only seeing it now - transplanted an old system and the only hiccup was stupidly not putting in the 8 pin motherboard connector before the motherboard itself.. I have the larger bequiet cooler and instead of removing the top fan, tried for about an hour jamming my fingers into that tiny space at the top left , haha. Loving the case though! Those fans take it to another level - might have to get some!
Also made the mistake of not realising my mobo doesn't have a usb-C header for the front connection - just a thing to check for those looking at this case.
