I have seen old grannies without kids , some due to infertilities , others maybe it was their choice. As per my own view, they tend to give their extended family members , community or organisations some "mzigo" , to look after them in their old days. 😥😥Even if God will do, you will need some people around you. Eg. God cannot come to cook for you ,, to wash your clothes, to change your diapers,🤔. Yes we agree that God might send his angels (some other people) to do it for you, but it feels more peaceful and easier if done by your own blood who happens to be your kids , or grandkids. I have a few friends who have children and they swear if they had known they would not have had children. They are married and they have no issues 6 their children but they still say if they had yo do it all over again they would not do it.
