I tried with the Bombay terra cotta color and it clogged. maybe the black is just naturally thinner. I read somewhere that if you experience clogging perhaps try the Ph Martin Hydrus inks instead.
If anyone sees this syringes with an actual needle on it are great for refilling because it can go to the bottom of the cartridge. I found anything that cant hit the bottom will often spill because air cant exit while the ink goes in.
I just got a brush pen, and OMG I looove it. It's awesome for lettering and for patterns. :) When I looked, mine is almost empty! AND I can't wait to go home because I have that bombay ink at home (I love PH Martin Bombay Inks for lettering. :) Thank you so much for this video... Seriously... I appreciate it.
@@creative.and.caffeinated it's all in the pigments, I ruined one of the very same pentel brushes on your video and some other water brushes using this ink, Teoh Yi Chie's channel goes really deep into this and he's pretty useful. It was very sad for me being an amateur and losing pen money on that thats why im commenting.
I don't recall advising people to "clean" their pen with alcohol. Agreed an ink syringe would have been cleaner/easier. Maybe my method wasn't the "best', but here I am in 2020 still using the same method to refill the same pen. So at least it isn't the worst! 💁♀️
Hello! You can make a video about how and how these Pentel Color Brush XGFL-101 brushes are launched. Thank you!

Awesome tip! I still haven't used up the pocket brush cartridges yet but this makes me feel less scared to use this tool more :)
Also, ballsy move wearing white while refilling ink :P
I didn't even think about that. I'm the clumsiest person ever! I'm amazed I didn't ruin my shirt! xD
Very helpful video, thank you Amanda xx
Love it!
This is amazing! Thank you so much!
Thank you I was thinking of buying this brush pen :)
I still highly recommend it and continue to use it! 👍🖤

I’m so glad it was helpful!! Happy creating! 🤗✨
any india ink will ruin/clog your brush pen so please look an adequate ink.
I haven’t had this experience and I’ve been filling my pentel pocket brush pen with the same India ink for years! 🤷🏼♀️

Do you know where I can find empty cartriges?
Very neat idea :D Shame about the Daiso bit, but hopefully you can find the pen that fits later on and see how well that goes :)
I'm on a huge brush pen kick right now with Inktober, so I'm gonna track it down and probably do a review on it! ;D
9:37 Go slowly at first? Such great advice, thanks!
thanks
Surely it would be easier to refill the ink cartridge by using an art needle
If you have one on hand, yes! I didn't happen to have one handy. But in a pinch, using the pipet that comes with the ink works just fine! ☺️
people alway suggest dont use india and sumi inks for brush pen..
First😀😀🌹🌹
Bad info all around. Never clean a pen with alcohol and a ink syringe is much easier.
