THANK YOU!!!! In six minutes you made this so much simpler to understand than the hours I've spent taking notes in class/watching other videos. I also love your video in that it's playful and not super dry. I'll definitely be watching your other videos!!
Just spent days trying to figure out how to deal with groups 2 and 3 being in the forward and backward places... to no luck until I found this video. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
Oh my god, thank you so much!! I was literally so confused as I was reading the textbook because I can't for the love of god picture the damn thing in my head. Thank you thank you so so so so much!
Thank you so much! You just saved me for my organic chemistry test on tuesday! I was struggling a lot before I watched this video and had no idea how to assign R and S configurations.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your explanation on this video. I did not take science before and after watching this, I understand much better on R-S Notational System. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU :D
This was SUPER helpful. Im studying for an organic chemistry exam and couldn't get past this chapter due to getting R and S questions wrong! I can move on now!! lol. Thanks for the GREAT video! :)
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankyou. I finally understood this. I was reviewing content from like 2 previous semesters. And after 2 semesters I actually got it. Thank you so much!!!!!
Soo..in case the least pririty group isnt at the desired position, we shud interchange and write the opp thing na.. I understand.. bt is ths applicable at all cases.. I mean do u hav any spcl case wer ths method fails.. If then pls reply.. Anywy thnks a lot Mrs. Flynn.. It ws a great hlpp..
so basically i can temporary assign the direction in which it goes (clockwise/counterclockwise) BUT because i switch it, i should know that it should be the opposite directions in which i switch it? (sorry if this sounds confusing)
Yes. The higher the atomic number is, the higher the ranking will be. For example, if you had a carbon atom attached to a hydrogen, oxygen, fluorine and lithium, the fluorine would be #1, oxygen #2, lithium #3, and hydrogen #4.
GOD! Iam studying Veterinary Medicine and our Chem teacher just sucks! (like I told you in a previous video) - this stuff seems so simple when I see it at home but in class it seems like hell -__-' thank you!
what I couldn't understand with an hour lecture plus multiple hours on my own explained in less than 7 minutes, simply amazing
YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I have an orgo exam today and I did not understand chirality till I watched this video.. Thank you :)
After hours of trying to understand assigning R/S isomers, this video has finally made it click! Thank you so much!
THANK YOU!!!! In six minutes you made this so much simpler to understand than the hours I've spent taking notes in class/watching other videos. I also love your video in that it's playful and not super dry. I'll definitely be watching your other videos!!
You are making chemistry with no mistry
Just how simply you explained. Thank you ma'am

you're AMAZING!!! Actually the best trick I've heard so far on youtube, and I watched a lot of vids. Your method is the superior one of them all
Thank you so much! You just saved me for my organic chemistry test on tuesday! I was struggling a lot before I watched this video and had no idea how to assign R and S configurations.
You saved my mind of a catastrophe...I really needed this video!! You´re super creative. THANKS. Regards, from ARGENTINA
omg wow you just saved me hours!! i spent all freaking day on this! trying to move the molecule around in my head… please share more videos
At the beginning I was like: WTF, wheres the trick?!
Now I'm like: wow. I wanna marry this girl. She just saved ass!!!

you playing with the models gives me tingles! + amazing trick, thanks for the vid
Thank you so much, you're a genius! I finally get it!
Gist ride
This is incredible, Lydia you bloody legend
you are an absolute legend. had no idea until this!
BTW, the "trick" comes late in the video, from 5:18.

That's brilliant! Thank u for such a nice trick☺
Thank you so much, this trick is fantastic!
Thank you so much *sister* for making it clear to me
can this work with molecules that have more than one chiral center? I love this trick
thank you so much, you made this super simple:)
What happens when the least priority group his 2 positions away from the wedged bond? Since you make two changes, does the conformation remain R?
Thank you so much! I will use this on my test.
Fantastic video and accent!
HI! Thank you for this video! How can you tell where to put 2 or 3 though?
so good video its really very easy to understand thank you a lot love you bae

How can access you on Facebook.
Wow thanks a lot for this, gonna do my homework now :D
good explanation through stick-ball models
Does the atomic number have any effect on finding the biggest and lowest?
Yes. The higher the atomic number is, the higher the ranking will be. For example, if you had a carbon atom attached to a hydrogen, oxygen, fluorine and lithium, the fluorine would be #1, oxygen #2, lithium #3, and hydrogen #4.
Did I hear Scottish accent? Brilliant vid.
that's brilliant. Thank you
