Love the idea of dipping things in the Repashy...I have mbuna and I am going to dip some rocks in it and add them back to the tank...that way it will keep them busy and seem more natural for them. Great idea!
It's worth noting that Repashy will stink up your kitchen (or wherever) when you make it. I suggest having some open windows and fans going. Also, if you make too much, you can freeze it for several months.
It was common practice years ago when repashy came out, I think it kind of got lost. I was talkign with Rachel when she was over and it reminded me to show that the next time I made repashy.
I also have found that is hard to make smaller amounts of rapashy because the water cools and doesn't gell properly. Then when it's microwaved, the water dries up. I'm thinking I'll just get a bigger tank with more fish so I can make a larger AMOUNT at a time. XD
I had the same problem. I now microwave pre-measured water in a small saucer until hot and dump in the powder after. Before, by the time the boiling water hit the saucer, it cooled too much and didn't set properly.
My LFS just did a clearance sell on Repashy foods. I got 12 pretty big bottles (not as big as you gallon or quart or however big that was) for $3 a piece. I'm really contemplating going back tomorrow to buy the rest. All are good as far as sell/use by dates go. Thanks for the tutorial, Cory! Looking at your fishroom, I need to go back and watch your build videos. I'm converting my garage into a fish farm for my highly addictive personality. :-) haha!
I mix the super gold and soilent green for my goldfish. They love it. I do have a goldfish that has swim bladder issues so I can only use gel food and veggies. That is a cool idea coating stuff with the food
I would avoid mixing in meds with the repashy because of the hot water, room temp storage meds are destroyed in temperatures above 30 degree celsius(86 Fahrenheit)
Cory, what Repashy would you recommend for Green Spotted Puffers? I want to mix in crushed oyster shells to help with their beaks until I can replenish my snail tank.
Also, use a deep mixing bowl, or maybe even a large tall yogurt/cottage cheese/sour cream container and dip your items more than once, let it build up layers.
If anyone is having trouble getting theirs to mix, pour the water slowly onto the repashy powder, while whisking. By the time you're out of water, the consistency should be near-perfect.
I made my own repashy like food for my fish. I grounded up a bunch of high quality fish/turtle pellets, dried river shrimp, dried crickets and other bugs and my fish love it a lot more than repashy. I'm also seeing more growth on my fry than repashy as well.
Can you feed repashy as a main diet? I've been feeding repashy soilent green to my goldfish as their main diet (with occasional green peas and blood worms) for about two years and while they are happy and healthy they do not seem to be growing very fast.
Love this food, make it in cheap plastic bowls from the dollar store. Cut it in chunks in bowl and feed, put the lid on bowl/ bowls and freeze until needed!
Woahhh that is a big tub of Repashy! I think we can only get the small ones here in the UK but they're super expensive. Great for my mystery snails in particular I find :)
Great video again Cory! This will convince many people to try out Repashy foods! I want to try it too now, But I'm not sure if they sell it in the Netherlands! *Keep up the good work and thumbs up!* #TacoUnion #FishFam #NotificationSquad
Cory.... I LOVE the REPASHY product. It is so full of high quality ingredients for our fish. Soilent Green is the main staple for our Fancy Goldfish and Pleco's, along with frozen blood worms, brine shrimp, live black worms, green beans, zucchini, shelled peas and the occasional fresh fruit treat like cantaloupe, grapes and tiny orange bits. When you read the actual ingredients on Repashy products, they are full of protein, fat, vitamins and other stuff fish need with virtually NO fillers. A little expensive, but WELL worth it IMHO....
Love the pleco cave dip. I just made some and dip some on three sides of a pleco cave and my plecos are all over it and guppies are nibbling at it. Great tip!
You’re great! Love your videos and really appreciate everything you do for aquarium hobbyists and enthusiasts! Would love to visit your store some day, keep up the good work 😊
interesting that your bettas don't go for it much. Mine loves it! My chili rasboras don't go for it but I'll bet if I attached it to something floaty, they would.
Did you ever try attaching it to something that floats? My espei rasbora seem interested in the tiny bits that float off, but don't seem at all interested if it's not floating.
Hey thsnks for this! Came to look for help as I made a bit and it didn't set... But I think I need to make a bigger batch so the water stays hotter... I Cooke dit a bit more and got some chunklettes in the tank. Great idea costing stuff,
I have a mixed community of omnivores and algae eaters. My albino bristlenose is sort of ‘meh’ on the Morning Wood. I think I might try the Community flavor next. The Kuhlis, Guppies, Dwarf Gourami and Mystery Snails just go bananas on the Soilent Green.
Ok, First Thankyou for all of your wonderful helpful videos. Helps me bigtime. I ordered the repashy, made and gave some to my Corys, glo light tetras, black phantom tetras, ottos and they don't seem interested. I love the dipping idea & dipped their cave rocks but nothing. What can I say, my fish are wierd. Talk about picky. 🙄
I really need to buy this for sure someday I hear alot good feedback on this product thank u so much for sharing it with us and explaining it in details.stay bless always
Revisiting this video. I remember when this came out. Lol boiling products. Lol. Who manufactured that boiling product again? Great video. My ottos love it. I dont trust bio film algea and mulm to feed my fish. Not sure if that means I overfeed but when there is nothing left after 36hrs I assume it's been eaten.
I use Repashy all the time, but I found that you need to mix the fry food 1 part food to 2 parts water, with the grub pie I always mix it with 3 parts water
for those like me with kids, i have a breast milk freezing tray. similar to a ice tray. the milk freezing tray is shaped like a cheese stick... thats what i used.
Haven't gotten my honey gourami to eat it or my chili rasboras. I think if I could stick it to the glass or something they might go for it more but they don't seem to want to eat anything that sinks.
Just came across this video. I bought a small bottle of Rapashy awhile ago. But my question is how do you store it once it’s made? Both of my daughters each have a 10g. Oldest daughter had 1 Gold Gourami, 8 Zebra Danio & 5 Neon Tetra. My youngest has 1 Dwarf Gourami, 1 Kuhli Loach and 2 Corydoras julii
cory, can you recommend a fish food for mid-aquarium feeders. My tetras don't seem to feed from the top or bottom, just swim back and forth in the middle and catch whatever falls, Thanks!
Hi there, great content! Quick question plz, when i feed repashy the fish chew it and spit it out and it clouds the water quite badly, how do i deal with this please? Thank you
Hello and thank you for posting all this informative content for us new fish keepers. I noticed you had plecos in your planted aquarium. How do you get them to not eat your live plants?! I really want to get plecos for my planted tank but am afraid the two are not compatible with each other, either I have plants or plecos. Is there some secret recipe or remedy that I can use to have both plecos and plants living in perfect harmony?
Hey Cory! I have a tank with mollies, black fin tetras, albino corydoras and an albino bristlenose pleco... can this be the main food for the entire tank? If so, which one should I buy?
Killer (my Common Pleco) absolutely loves his Repashy! It is to the point where he pouts if he doesn't get it and when I do drop it in the tank he is all over it and defends {his} food from the other fish. Cannot recommend Repashy highly enough!
Cory Love your videos! I have learned so much from you. Why aren't you my neighbor? I would bake you cookies every week. Really! MY TIP! If you put the powder in first, then the hot water, your measuring cup will stay clean! ;-D
I recently bought this from you and I love it. The only concern I have is the excess what in the container that I put in the fridge. Will this cause it to go bad quicker.

Is this considered a good food for Black Ghost knife fish? I’m going out of town for a few days and I want to make sure he has food to munch on without having someone come over to feed him frozen blood worms.
Corey have you ever tried using the bottom scraper formula for your leopard frogs? Also how much would you use for a group of ten juveniles that are about 2-2.5 inches? I made the repashy super green (3:1 water/repashy) but it never got anything solid looking like it is in this video. Mine was pretty liquidy. I added more repashy to try to thicken it up but that didn't help.
So this is just a very healthy food for fish? I have a Betta fish in a small 2.5 tank. I feed it freeze dried foods, flakes, and pellets. Should I buy a little? And how much for the smallest amount you can find cuz the one in the vid looks like a huge jar of powder.
Anna& The piggies Thanks for the help. I'll just keep feeding this diet and see how it goes! Might try some of this jell food in the future if i get more fish.
*Buy Repashy from us on our website: **geni.us/Repashy*
is this the link for me?
Hi. For bn plecos, do you recommend one over others among morning wood, soilent green, super green or bottom scratcher ? Thank you.
Why won’t my set? I followed the directions it’s been a couple hours and there is a thin layer set but under it it’s still mushy😟
That's where my casserole dish went. Good to know.
Dorkula lolol
Now the question is -- Where's it going next?
LOL
😂
😂😂😂 love your response

Jay Workman or make it outside?
It smells nice *shrug*
Tip. Once it cools down a bit. Pour the liquid into gallon ziplock bags and freeze it into flat packs. Super easy to break off a chunk.
Watched the video wondering if it could be frozen. Glad I read the comment section too. Thanks!
thanks for the warning lol gnna use repashy and brineshrimp for guppies
Why have I never thought of coating things with it. That's an amazing idea!!!
You get the big bucks today Cory! 👍👏
It was common practice years ago when repashy came out, I think it kind of got lost. I was talkign with Rachel when she was over and it reminded me to show that the next time I made repashy.
Covering the pleco cave and the coconut hut, etc - GENIUS!
I got a silicone Gummy worm mold. Gonna make some repashi gummy worms since I dont have a million fish to feed.
Playing catching up with my favorite You-tubers on this wonderful Sunday morning ,have a great one :D
And... ordered! Really trust your opinion and those fish don't lie :D Can't wait for my fish to try it out.
I also have found that is hard to make smaller amounts of rapashy because the water cools and doesn't gell properly. Then when it's microwaved, the water dries up. I'm thinking I'll just get a bigger tank with more fish so I can make a larger AMOUNT at a time. XD
Maddy Cain always a good suggestion to just get a bigger tank :)
This happens to me sometimes so i just stir the water every few minutes.
great excuse to get more fish! haha
I had the same problem. I now microwave pre-measured water in a small saucer until hot and dump in the powder after. Before, by the time the boiling water hit the saucer, it cooled too much and didn't set properly.
Maddy Cain or just get a bigger tank and save the big batch of repashy food
Repashy is one of the only foods that my gobies will actually accept. Eating only Algea and Aufwuchs in the wild, the soilent green is great!
My LFS just did a clearance sell on Repashy foods. I got 12 pretty big bottles (not as big as you gallon or quart or however big that was) for $3 a piece. I would avoid mixing in meds with the repashy because of the hot water, room temp storage meds are destroyed in temperatures above 30 degree celsius(86 Fahrenheit)
Planning to buy this for my dojo and yoyo loaches, I want the best for my babies.. I really hope they like it!
Thank you so much for this video! I was trying to figure out how to make sure everyone in my community tank gets food :)
I'm needing some refills on my Repashy. Thanks Cory! Looking forward to buying something from you for the first time :-D
Cory, what Repashy would you recommend for Green Spotted Puffers? I want to mix in crushed oyster shells to help with their beaks until I can replenish my snail tank.
wow that's an amazing idea i think you can also put some meds in that food mixing 👏👏👏
"Mixa mixa mixa mix" LOL JIMMY YOU ARE TOO FUNNY😂😂😂😂
Neon Tetra Aquarist hahahahahahah had to do it.
I laughed at this too! And welcome to W.Washington =-)
Also, use a deep mixing bowl, or maybe even a large tall yogurt/cottage cheese/sour cream container and dip your items more than once, let it build up layers.
Nice. I've heard of it but it was really great that you made a video that shows how to make it and it's uses. Loved it!

interesting cameronJPL... how do you make it a gel ? you ad gelatine or something and then the same mixing process with boiled water ?

@@ndmurphy123 no drop in frozen it will thaw fine in tank.
@@johnwood738 thanks!

Yeah, it's extra work for sure, but the fish sure do enjoy it.
AWW MAN why didnt I think of covering caves and coconut huts with Rapashy! GREAT IDEA.
You’re great! Love your videos and really appreciate everything you do for aquarium hobbyists and enthusiasts! Would love to visit your store some day, keep up the good work 😊
Thank you for this video. I think this will be so much easier for me to do for my Fishes. 😊
Very cool Cory, I have some repashy mix, but never got around to making it. Thank you for the great video, it reminded my to make some!
Hi Cory do you need to dechlorinate the water you mix the powder in.
Thanks
Since no one replied...i will. No...the chlorine would evaporate when you boil the water.
interesting that your bettas don't go for it much. Mine loves it! My chili rasboras don't go for it but I'll bet if I attached it to something floaty, they would.

Great video. How often do feed them Repashy? I have mbuna cichlids.
I didn't realize Aquarium Co Op had a Pinterest page. (LOL) Nice instructional video about the Repashy food. Thanks for sharing.
my plecos have gotten huge on repashy.
Hi. For bn plecos, do you recommend one over others among morning wood, silent green, super green or bottom scratcher ? Thank you.
Ordered some last night 👍
Haven't gotten my honey gourami to eat it or my chili rasboras. I think if I could stick it to the glass or something they might go for it more but they don't seem to want to eat anything that sinks.
Wish is was available in Australia they've tried getting batches in but customs kills it 😞
Will cardinal tetras eat it?
How do you store the repashy once it's made? Do you put in fridge? How long does it keep?
awesome tip... need to try this on my mbunas
I mixed in some frozen cyclops. That seems to go down well :)
Can you store it pre-made in the refrigerator or something?
Never thought to dip coconuts in repashy . Will have to try that :)
Literally just bought some repashy food for the first time yesterday.. I'll have to buy some more I guess!
I wonder if repashy can be use for crab bait
I bought this for my L46 Zebra plecs as its got such good reviews but so far they seem to have completely ignored it..??
How long is it good for once prepared? Can you cube it and freeze it?
Repashy says that once prepared, its good for about a week in the fridge. Yes, you can freeze it. :)
6 months freezing
I've been trying to figure out a ratio and way to cut it to wiggle like a earthworm to trick my fire eels into eating it
cory, can you recommend a fish food for mid-aquarium feeders. My tetras don't seem to feed from the top or bottom, just swim back and forth in the middle and catch whatever falls, Thanks!
+Jan P. Frozen cyclops and baby brine shrimp
Hi there, great content! Quick question plz, when i feed repashy the fish chew it and spit it out and it clouds the water quite badly, how do i deal with this please? Thank you

Going to start my first batch today.
Hi AD, I am in vietnam, can you tell me the fish at 6:04 right corner is fish what?
They should make one specifically for amphibians. I want to try this on my African dwarf frogs
is that morning wood repashy?
I ordered the mornin wood one for my bristlenose in my 125 African Cichlid tank is it safe for the cichlids too eat ?
Hi Cory, do you ship to the uk? If so i would be interested in getting some fo my plecos
+kingblazer171 unfortunately we only ship in the USA currently
Aquarium Co-Op damn thats a shame
Can i feed my fish this everyday/every feeding?
Wich repashy "flavor" are you using
I recently bought this from you and I love it. The only concern I have is the excess what in the container that I put in the fridge. Will this cause it to go bad quicker.
Sorry that was supposed to be excess water in the container.
+Megan Ness hmm, there shouldn’t be excess water? You have water in with the dry powder?
Yep. I did 2 parts water to 1 part repashy. I have been storing it in the fridge ever since and I did that on Friday. Now there is water at the bottom of the container and on top of the food. It said on the container it would last up to two weeks, but having the excess water I am not sure if I should keep it that long. I don't know if this is just a lot of condensation from keeping it in the fridge. This was the first time I made it. It just seemed a little concerning to me.
IMG_0381.JPG
+Megan Ness was it out into the fridge while hot? Perhaps it’s the condensation from the steam? As long as I do t see any mold, I wouldn’t be worried.
Aquarium Co-Op yes I had put it in immediately after. I didn't really notice it before now. I will try it again in a couple weeks and not do that to see if that is the factor. I will keep you posted just in case someone else asks.
Hey Corey, how do you prevent the repashy from smelling? Also instead of Malaysian driftwood, can I use spider wood for my longfin albino bristlenose pleco? I know bristlenose plecos need wood in their diet, but the wood is usually Malaysian driftwood, and I have never seen anyone use spider wood in a plecos diet. I'm wondering if it will work.
Spider wood works, so does repashy morning wood that has wood in it. As for preventing the smell, I'm not sure you can prevent it.
Aquarium Co-Op Ok thanks!
I was thinking about throwing in a small marble sized piece at night time when the lights go off because my Discus probably won’t touch it.
Also how long can I leave a piece in the tank before I have to remove it and throw it out?
Just made this for the first time wife is ready to kick me outta the house cause of the smell lol.
Great video Cory 👍
Do you recommend any repashy for more of our carnivorous Africans or south Americans?
Hey Cory, which repashy do you recommend for livebearers like guppies and mollies? thanks!
I like the community blend for livebearers.
thanks man, you rock
Does Dorkula use you instead of a mixer when she makes cakes and stuff? Food coated caves - brilliant!
Thanksfully no, I'd never get anything done :P
I didn't get the exact time stamp, but around 2:36-2:40, "mix and mix and mix" is so something I would do! I can't even say how much I loved that! :)
Coating something for a longer treat is a great idea! Thank you for the video, I thoroughly enjoyed it! #hugallyourfishtanks
Yeah, we need to do like a video with all these little funny clips :P
What repashy should I feed to otos
I made the repashy super green (3:1 water/repashy) but it never got anything solid looking like it is in this video. Mine was pretty liquidy. I added more repashy to try to thicken it up but that didn't help.
So this is just a very healthy food for fish? I have a Betta fish in a small 2.5 tank. I feed it freeze dried foods, flakes, and pellets. Should I buy a little? And how much for the smallest amount you can find cuz the one in the vid looks like a huge jar of powder.
thegolemhunter ~ There are 3 oz and 6 oz size jars on the Aquarium CoOp website.
thegolemhunter you seem to have a really good diet for your betta so you don't have to buy this
Anna& The piggies Thanks for the help. I'll just keep feeding this diet and see how it goes! Might try some of this jell food in the future if i get more fish.
Cory said in the video that sometimes bettas do not really like to eat it, plus the food you listed that you're feeding your betta seems pretty good.
Mix spirilina powder.?
Do you have to treat the water that you use to make it? Or does boiling the water remove harmful chemicals?
Cory on the "cooking channel!"
