My grandfather after WW2 left his mother and father (a mumbaki) to work for the Americans in the goldmines of Benguet becsuse of necescity in mid 40's after the war. He returned home after he retired and went back to his old ways. Farm and be a terrace stone wall builder but not be a munbaki like his father.

I think the Igorots should teach the whole country how to plant rice and how to make viable rice fields for the purpose of being independent in producing rice instead of exporting rice from other countries.
If the world fails because of another world war and people can’t get their food from supermarkets, the Igorots who know how to live off the land will survive. You’ve been doing this for more than 2000 years.
I'm an American. I can come help you. If it's okay with you. I wouldn't mind living there. I don't want to really work in this technological world anyways
