Was great to see your shop for the first time and meet some of you !! It was great to pick up my FEF in person. Hopefully I will be back to visit again!!
It is the 49er. The guy is probably mistakingly calling it that because the VisionLine Challenger had it first, but the actual name of the paint scheme itself is "the 49er."
OMG, welcome to my nightmare. Just what is a 'continuity test?' (Steam engines don't have radios anyway). That paint scheme was NOT applied to any Challenger, but one 4-6-2 Pacific and one 4-8-2 Mountains in 1937.
Broadway Limited Imports needs to do this kind of fantasy paint scheme to the HO-Scale UP Steam locomotives. Great video btw!

Looks more like the '49er scheme.

Well duh it wasn't. This is a FICTIONAL paint scheme. Lionel did plenty of prototypical FEF-3's in the catalog.
