Long travel for just a few hours! Maybe I could organise a 1+week meet someday or such. That would be more worth it. Those used to be held back in 1990's. Like just 3 days or 1 week or even 3 weeks long camping in the woods hha.

My brother (the only family that know I'm a therian) was accepting for a while, but now he turned cold whenever he sees my ears and tail he gives me a dirty look and walks away, I've been able to start to convince him that I'm no longer a therian, it's not easy, I wish he would accept me, but when he remembers, unless there is a movie on he walks out of the room and gives me a weird look, I know my parents would not have a good reaction, so I can't tell them, I have no other therians to talk to because I moved away, I'm depressed, have any advise on what I should do? That would really help unless it's tell my parents, that would make it even worse Sorry to pour that on you, but I need advise from another therian
Well best would be to have a good talk with your brother. If you wear tails/ears but tell him you're not a therian, that doesn't really convince him. I'm not sure if lying to him is smart even tho he accepted at first. If he accepted once, there is a big chance he'll accept again. There must be a reason why he now gives those looks. I think it would be great to have a nice, calm, respectfull and kind conversation with him. See why he doesn't like or accept it, why he think it's wrong, debunk misconceptions and tell how it is instead etc. Maybe that will help him turn around again to understand?
I'm so sorry that this an entire year ago and I didn't get here sooner, I hope things have gotten better since but if you need advice still... heres mine. 💛✨ (P.S. I'm a closeted therian as well. I have absolutely nobody to talk to, so I hope these will have similar effects!) -Do not wear your ears nor tail unless you're positive you're alone. (I know it sucks but someone could catch you. Besides your brother might get upset again.) -(Option 2.) Wear your tail alot more. Get a good feel to it, eventually your brother will start to get used to it and either ignore it all together or just not worry about it. -Make sure to go outside ALOT. If you have a backyard (And if youre alone..) you can run around. Climb trees, bite sticks, anything your theriotype wants. -Work out a coming out plan. Try to explain it in the calmest, easiest way possible. It'll be hard but it will be worth it. If they love you, they'll understand how happy it makes you. -Discord is an amazing sorce to find other people just like you. Id reccomend getting it and joining a few therian-friendly severs and talking to them. I'm not the best at this sort of thing, but I truly hope I help and I hope you can figure it all out. 🌿🌾
