20:56 It's a DnD fundamental! Whenever you present your players with a huge beast that is not 100% hostile, they will try to mount it, tame it, or use it in the boss fight! At least with my players that seems to be the rule lol

Hehehe they say you never know what players will do but sometimes it’s not too hard to guess!

    Big spoilers here.
One thing I like to do is, my kobolds' scales change color to match that of the nearest true dragon. Their demeanor and some abilities change, too. This can be another clue to your heroes that the kobolds swarming them mean no harm.
It's also a way to make those two kobolds scouts more interesting. Maybe Sparkrender was scouting the shipwreck, too, and that's why they end up at the observatory. Given this, simply killing them isn't as easy to justify.
A third way to use this is, the kobolds at the rest might be acting odd - more mischievous and even occasionally spiteful. Maybe the heroes spot a blue scale here and there. Another clue to what's going on, and about a villain this adventure introduces very late.

You open the foul smelling sac of food scraps out of curiosity, you immediately regret it as the pungent smell of rot hits you like a brick wall.
Inside you see rotting fish heads and something that once resembled venison along with mouldy fruit pits and bread.

If your scholar is an artificer like in JnJ's play through, you could put a clue to the Laboratory of Kwalish there.
    Maybe some ingenious devices ...
Maybe a suit of armor ...
Maybe Sparkrender is powering it with his breath ....

For those watching these videos and you don’t know what the Laboratory of Kwalish is, it’s another adventure module originally designed to support Extra Life. You can find out more on dndbeyond: www.dndbeyond.com/sources/llok
