Hi! I had trouble after creating the symmetry - I can't seem to get it right when putting the petals behind each other. Help!
Hi. I remember trying to learn this weaving technique many years ago. It’s like an optical illusion!
TIPS: Practice with larger than normal petals and only two alternating colors until you have the technique down.
When you push the petals into eachother always push close to the center using your thumbs, while holding the backs of the loops with your fingers.
You are always pushing half of one loop into the center of the other.
Let’s say you are making a red and white flower with 6 loops. You put half of the white loop through the center of the red, right? The next red loop, will be pushed into the center of the white. However, there’s already half a red loop in that white loop! So you tuck the new red loop through the white, but BEHIND the first red loop.
I am aware that this explanation is probably also rather confusing, but I promise you if you keep watching the video and keep practicing it will suddenly click in your mind. It took me weeks to figure this out initially - I’m not kidding. But now it’s easy. If you are like me and are determined to repeat something intrepidly, you ultimately cannot fail. I hope this was even slightly helpful. Thank you for your comment.

Hey again. I have never had a Facebook account. I am not on any form of social media whatsoever except for TH-cam. My girlfriend and I make the videos, but, outside of that, we are not on twitter or Facebook or anything else. My classes are here on TH-cam in video form and that is the extent of it.

Hi! You can slow the vid speed down to 50% and that might help. It’s always tough to make decisions on these vids because some people say “too fast!” and others say “too slow, you’re wasting time!”, haha. It’s a bit of a balancing act. I do my best. Thank you for watching!

Great job & love the outfit! The first TH-cam balloon twisting I ever saw was HH's penguin. It was my dream to someday make that darned penguin! Took me a while but it's become my favorite design. As for this weave, it is my nightmare! I can build anything out of balloons now but this one isn't registering! You made it look simpler than most so I'll give it another shot! Also, LOVE the new video format (check for typos)!
I have to admit - the inspiration for this flower weave tutorial was your comment you made (on my hula girl video) that you thought you couldn't learn how to do it. It would justify this video's existence if this was what made the technique possible for you to master. My new video style is so much more fun to work with and - the typos - ugh. I checked that text over and over but I missed "cooridinated", which is the only thing about this video that I dislike. Another typo will not happen again. Thank you for your comments as always and pretty please try to get this technique down - you will feel so awesome when you conquer it.

My hubby does balloon twisting...i occasionally have a wee faff about..the balloon weave is difficult but like you...this video makes it look a bit easier. Will need to have a wee faff with it tomorrow.
