Welcome back to Part 2 of our Bantayan Island adventure! 🌴✨
Day 1 - Night:
After a long and tiring journey from Lapu-Lapu City to Santa Fe, Bantayan, we finally settled down for the night. We treated ourselves to a classic pizza loaded with toppings and paired it with some beer for dinner. Exhausted but happy, we headed back to Myrna's Pension House to call it a night.
Day 2 - Morning:
We woke up early to prepare for our exciting day ahead. Today, we’re checking in at Santa Fe Beach Club Resort to celebrate a special occasion-both Vince and I share the same birthday! 🥳 Before that, we decided to visit Ogtong Cave and Sandira Beach, which are part of the Santa Fe Beach Club. Normally, there’s an entrance fee (₱250 for Ogtong Cave and ₱75 for Sandira Beach), but staying at the resort grants us free access.
Day 2 - Evening:
We had a blast exploring the beautiful resort, enjoying the views, and unwinding. After making the most of our time, we transferred to Anika Resort. Due to peak season, switching resorts was necessary as availability was limited. While the rooms at Anika weren't exactly to my taste, I loved the pool-view veranda.
Day 3 - Morning:
We started the day by revisiting Ogtong Cave. The previous day was too crowded to fully enjoy, but today we made the most of it. We also met a friendly fellow traveler named Ratan. After packing up at Santa Fe Beach Club, we transferred back to Anika Resort.
Day 3 - Afternoon:
While waiting for our room, we explored Bantayan’s public market and bought dried fish as "pasalubong" for my family. We also visited St. Peter the Apostle Parish to offer a prayer of thanks. Once our room was ready, we headed to Kota Beach to catch a stunning sunset. We enjoyed a BBQ night at Kota Beach, savoring every moment together.
Day 3 - Night:
The night ended with a relaxing dip in Anika Resort’s pool, cherishing our time on this beautiful island. Tomorrow, we’ll be heading back to Cebu, but the memories of Bantayan will stay with us forever.
