I think the people in Africa and North America only have their traditions and culture due to their Isolation. If the Europeans acted like the Romans and Moors in the 1500's there would be zero natives anywhere as they would be forced to assimilate just like the southern Europeans did for 1500 years. The African Slavery ended 200 years ago that's less than 1300 years less than what the Southern Europeans had. The question that will never be answered is if not for the Southern Europeans how long would the world have expanded and the oceans crossed, mapped? No other cultures in the world had either the courage or even the will power to do it, that's what 1500 years of fighting and surviving does to you for both Spain and Portugal. No other nations on this planet even matter when pushing the world forward 1000 years in less than 200. The most ironic thing about the last 500 years is that the so called villains were former slaves.
