One of the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development’s mission is to promote access to opportunities for youth, women, and other vulnerable groups. At the back of high youth unemployment numbers in the country, the department, through its National Rural Youth Service Corps (#NARYSEC) skills development programme, is making strides in providing some much-needed boost to the youth.
One such youth is Bongani Mooketsi, a 28-year-old traffic official from Zuurbekom in Gauteng. Bongani joined the #NARYSEC programme in 2022 and through his hard work and dedication, he has benefited a lot from the programme.
