Don't know if someone pointed it out already buuuut: Taiyang told Yang that she and her mother both act as if the only way to deal with an obstacle is to go through, when there is a way around it...in the fight Raven vs. Cinder you can see that at around 15:52 - 15:54 when Raven just cuts the big boulder in half :P
I'm so hyped for the next, with one of the greatest Yang moment But this one is really good, the maiden fight of course (and I can't wait for Jake and Nekko to hear the full song), but aslo Adam who bite the dust and reap what he sowed.. I love also Jaune discovering is semblance and Weiss sumoning the queen lancer, but I can't get enough of Nora "Idon't need him to be hurt, I just need him to go down".
You like that yang moment? It always came across as naive and even a little hypocritical to me. Especially with decisions in later volumes, hopefully they set her up to come full circle and be more like raven in the future, but with her sense of family focused on the main cast unlike raven with her tribe.
@@paradox_4094 Idk. I feel like it was a great vibe check for Raven. She has been talking all this shit and still had the audacity and tactless attitude to just Portal away from her daughter who finally was trying to be genuine with her and taking her advice. And despite her "strength" couldn't handle the truth. Yang was finally passing that hurdle herself of taking charge and responsibility with the guts and teammates to back her decision up. So I see it as a great moment for her yeah.
@@PsychoDiesel48 i saw that scene as raven having prior experience seeing the futility of fighting salem and trying desperately to tell yang that what she was doing could only end in failure. Yang being the naive person here is unable to recognize that and only sees her mother as a coward while raven is too traumatized by her past to want to help yang and raven's fear ultimately is the cause of her running away. We both know how things go later and raven looks more and more right at least until RT writes a macguffin into the plot to save the day.
@@paradox_4094 ok so I haven't watched past season 6 episode 1, but I felt like it was still hypocritical on Raven's part to be that distant (granted she was a maiden but still) and try to act like the bigger person when the culmination of all her wisdom was to steal one of the relics by herself and rub off into the woods with her tribe of thugs until Salem (in her phrasing) inevitably hunts her down and gets the relic anyway. Idk, different ways of viewing it I guess. Not saying you are wrong in any way I just see her character differently. Also Yang is my favorite so I may be a tad biased XD
@@PsychoDiesel48 Ravens character is more understandable in hindsight when you get further along the series. Also if you focus on ravens expressions in that scene you could interpret it as her struggling to admit she's scared. If someone as powerful as raven is that afraid of salem id probably think about it more, but hope you enjoy the rest of the show as it develops.
4:30 okay i need to know who eduted that, cause i had the exact same thought 😂😂 Now that fight was gooooood, cant wait for the next episode and finally the upcoming episodes of volume 6 😳 Adam totally sounded like a spoiled little kid, that didnt get what he wanted 😑
You SHOULD’VE known that Cinder wasn’t dead because of at least 2 things: 1. Yes, Raven did freeze Cinder completely; but there wasn’t a shattering sound, so she didn’t hit anything solid. 2. You didn’t see Cinder’s dead body, so according to anime rules (the show RWBY is considered a anime), if you don’t see any evidence that a character(s) is dead, they are possibly alive.
What do you mean Raven's not a villain. She runs a bandit tribe that raids civilian settlements and then leaves any survivors for the grimm. Just cause she's not aiming to blow up the world doesn't mean she not a fucking villain.
Oh yeah, due to the major idiocy, I'd completely forgotten about the minor one: Ruby didn't send the girl with the lightning semblance against the man with lightning dust in his body, because it *wasn't time yet.* They'd written themselves into a corner, not keeping Blake's story in time with the rest. Silver lining, someone finally had the sense to bring the police! And I do like how Hazel threw Adam's words back at him (back when he murdered Sienna). But then the dumb returns with Emerald jumping at Yang instead of projecting whatever into her brain... and that's pretty much all we see of the ground level fight; I guess the maiden fight makes up for it. I still think the giant anime swords were a bit much, but the song is one of my favourites. Thing is, Casey lied...

So if Jake gets really excited, he turns to ASMR.. nice 😂
I see XD

Precisely. He's such a little whiny teenager XD
You know, Raven, you could have let Vernal just shoot vulnerable Cinder in the back and then attacked her.
Raven definitely has an ego problem
"Shut up Hamburger"
