C15:0 and C17:0 Fatty Acids are very Anti-inflammatory... (& may be "Essential" like Omega-3's). Those are Saturated Fats.... that the "Experts" have told us to avoid. Avoidance of "Essential Fatty Acids" is deadly advice.

Fix the cycles and the food chain will fit it's self.

I wonder if there would be any interesting correlations between nutritional content and rumen biodiversity? There's a great deal of nutrients that could be unavailable in a feedstock without the proper microorganisms to make them bioavailable right?

Seems like another chicken and egg quandary. Without stretching the limits of developing biodiverse feedstock in a local ecosystem, how do we know what microorganisms can appear. We don’t even know what is out there, or rather, in the soil. Such a small number of scientists know or care how those microorganisms affect our world. Experimenting with antibiotics over generations has been, and is like, children playing with loaded guns. We know why it was done, but the damaging effects have been known for many years. The people playing will not share beyond obscure observations because they fear the consequences. The microbes are their enemy. The microbes are the key to life in earth.
