This mechanism will work great for a lamp being knocked off a dresser for a series I am calling My Bad Cat Lincoln.. I'd love a video about your design process. When you start with an image or story you want to tell, how do you play with ideas to figure out how to do it as a pop-up?
I absolutely love this! I’ve just made a version, which works beautifully, although I do need to up the weight of the paper on the base page, and also on the first mechanism to support the upright section. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing expertise. This truly is the greatest pop-up ever!!
It really is the greatest pop-up ever! I giggled when I saw the big finish. I might use the basics to make an elephant trunk. :-) Plus I have friends that would really enjoy getting a card like this with the hand. Thank you so much for sharing this!

I do have a question about your Star Wars pop-up guide to the galaxy. Does it have sound? If so, how do you activate them? I've got batteries in the book, but the sounds won't activate. Is there a way to activate the sounds? Are the buttons to activate the sounds located on the Pages? Is there a switch to turn on the book?
