"scarcity pricing" because of economics: it's an illusion. There is plenty of energy to lower rates for us Texas residents. ERCOT "put away" more reserves than necessary, making it seem like we don't have enough energy to go around, therefore, causing an $8billion dollar influx. Where is that money going to? Electric companies! It's a good time to be an electric company... I guess, if you could sleep at night. Remember we are not Federally Regulated
Get yourself to the hardware store, purchase 30 bundles of green fiber and take the free blower rental, fill your attic with the stuff. Pays back in a year or so. This is the cheapest dollar per dollar saved method to reducing your power consumption without sacrificing comfort
The expert is not very smart, take a 5 year plan, cheaper rate then 12 mothn. The cacelation fee is a none factor, why??? becuase you will more then pay that amount in that 12 month time frame! RIP to the expert.
This expert gave moronic advice. A principal issue is having your contract come up in the summer. So continuously getting 1 year plans in the summer leaves you destined to face this issue year after year
@Tookster Solar is the reason the costs are higher. That and bad management. They’re shuttering too many plants before the solar ones are at full capacity which I understand takes a significant amount of time. Well duh…didn’t they know that beforehand?
What, no? The electric companies (the ones who are public and have shareholders) have all had their stock price's plummet, they haven't been able to really increase profits recently. Using your logic, why wouldn't they have been doing that for years? It's not so much natural gas companies as much as it is natural gas policies. Look up Biden's policies, he's done alot to increase your electric bills.
Corruption is the reason!
corruption, supply chain (LOL), World Economic Forum's plan.
Wrong its called speculation in the commodities markets.
In Houston we’re finding 17 cents as lowest
Yes I’m in Houston have you found one more afordable?
Very informative video! My renewal is next month. I wasn’t sure what to do. I’m also a Coog Alumni
That use to be called price gouging...
It still is. But Electric Money Gobblers will sugar coat it.

@Silver Gt I thought the same. He’ll pay way more in excess costs during those 12 months unless he’s anticipating switching before next summer.

Solar looks more and more attractive in Texas right about now.
@Tookster Solar is the reason the costs are higher. That and bad management. They’re shuttering too many plants before the solar ones are at full capacity which I understand takes a significant amount of time. Well duh…didn’t they know that beforehand?
Private companies raise their prices and pass on the profits to shareholders
