    Do you know how long does a knee effusion takes to heal in average?
    I've had one due to patella dislocation 5 weeks ago and still swollen :c

      It depends on the type of the effusion and many other factors.
      It’s important to try to measure the swelling’s dimensions and track it over time.
      Also, if I were you, I would follow up with a good doctor that has seen many similar cases.

      The longer you wait, the more WBCs will be dead (broken down) by then, so you won’t see them!

    My knee has swollen for 6 years now I play football with it like that will it ever heal? because I have been using the ice and aspiration but it doesn't decrease is there another method of treatment?

    I asked my GP how soft tissue swelling presents itself differently from osteoarthritis. He had no clue hence why I was here learning. Peace

    My 4 year old just went through an effusion emergency surgery 5 days ago, this video is so informative :) it also just upholds my faith in the medical system we use. They did an excellent Job!

      May i ask what happened to you child ? My son has a knee effusion and their doing conservative treatment they just did a knee aspiration but the swelling is still there. Not sure what else to do. I’m going to request an mri but not sure what else to ask for my son is 4 yess old too.

    I got an X-ray on my knee and was told that there is no fracture but there is a small effusion
    Its been almost 2 years with light bearable pain but it’s annoying
    Seems to get better with weighed squats
    But comes back after few days
    Im 25 years old with very light daily activity

      I Got the same problem mild joint effusion and its been 2 year....ortho and physio is joke for me now after visiting many of them ...

      @@niravgodhania8787 I fractured my toe while playing Football(soccer). The fracture has healed but they a little bit of fluid in the joint(joint effusion).

    I'm 46 yrs a my x-ray for both knee said effusion and my doc is waiting on my blood results but the pain is annoying every day pain killers 2 yrs of on going stiffness pain
