G'day Vinne, hold on to you hat mate, my Royal Enfield 650 nearly killed me yesterday, a major failure of the rear brake caliper, was travelling at 120 kph and went to pull up at a stop sign and the back wheel locked up and l mean locked, it through the bike into a skid side ways and l was gone for all money then the brake released and the bike swung upright, the brake lever lost all resistance and when l pulled over child was pissing out onto the ground, l contracted My RE dealer sent photos and a video of how much fluid runs out when you pump the lever, when they looked at it they we very concerned as this even has not happened to any one in Australia on these bike's, The Australia distribution don't have a caliper in stock, and wants a full report for RE India, so the bike out of action for a while, cheers, Neil 🤠
Faaaark mate! Glad youre okay! That sounds scary as hell wouldve been a good one to catch that on camera! Did you catch your shout out in the video 😉
Far out Norse that sounds full on.I hope it all gets sorted out for you sounds like a real butt clencher glad you stayed upright. How many km has your bike done now & what year is it?
@@roadblastmedia Look mate don't want to say to much yet until they pull the caliper down, and find out what the fuck went wrong, but it's a worry for RE, not uploading the Video on social media, only if I don't get a good outcome, thanks for your concern.
@@norsehall309 yeah mate hopefully its an easy fix and you get back on the road soon!
@@ruahinesrider G,day My RE 650 has only done 4,500 klms, I was only a few seconds from a lot of pain when the brake released, I have sent an after video of the fluid running out to the dealership and they have started the claim, waiting for further instructions,
7 years and you already know you she's the one so put a ring on her finger. No time like the present. Enjoyed the video.
Haha when the moment arrives it will happen mate! Cheers
Fantastic video mate. You live in a very beautiful place🤞
Cheers mate!
Loved that mate. Chelsea is a star. Nice to see those sheep as well we don't get any in Australia.
No sheep in Australia hahahaha 😂😂
@@ruahinesrider saw one once but that was in the butchers shop window. We do have some big woolly things out west that look a bit like sheep tho.
@@ruahinesrider mate I'm terrified of those wettas u have in New Zealand do they eat the sheep?
@@daintree2455 I have one in the paddock that the farmers wife spoilt & if you outside it runs up baaaa baaaa wanting a pat & a scratch behind the ear, it's a hard case all right.
@@daintree2455 Vinny on HIS Himmy & Chelsea on a Classic maybe.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 . Big brother.
Chur Bro!
Congratulations on the 4000 subs, well deserved. Looks like the himmy handles two just fine.
Cheers Julian! Yeah it handles great with 2 up although Chelsea and I are on the smaller side 🤣
Hi Julian, yah I got ya comment before and shall do so for sure. Anyway, Holeshot put the centre stand and radiator guard on yesterday. Still they haven’t got a mountain bracket for the grab rail rack, so the last 2 times I went there, they did not charge me any labour.
How is your RE going Julian ? I suppose it’s not the same without Vinny living in the Mount anymore. Mind you if I’m young, I’d 100 % be doing the same thing.
After what happened to me my mojo is not quite what it was. But that’s ok. I’ll still enjoy my little sojourns.
@@johnmartin7158 hi John, been out for a ride with Andrew (Vinnie's dad), a couple of weekends ago, so keeping up to date with his goings on. An update though on my RE, I e traded up to a Triumph speed twin. Picked it up on Tuesday and already have 200km's on it. I'll miss the RE, but at least I've still kept with a modern classic, albeit a sportier version.
7 years, and no itch I hope. Pluse the lady likes bike's. Maybe the next series could be the learning and journey of your friend getting on the road on her own bike? Load the bike's up and go on an adventure.
No itch mate yeah thats a good idea hopefully i can get her learning soon!
you are blessed to live in such a lovely part of the world.
Cheers mate! I am thankful everyday i go out on the bike I almost need to pinch myself 😃
Muy Hermosa......both Chelsea & Himalyan
Cheers mate!
4,000! Wow, on your way! You deserve it. You always deliver a good video and keep things positive. Easy to understand you always smiling. Your country is amazing and Chelsea is adorable. She reminded me of Georgie from the Canadian TV show "Heartland🐎." That is an excellent show and besides all the snow, also is beautiful country. You should check it out.
Now you need to find some trails and do some off roading. Really find some beautiful places off the beaten track. I love getting out into the forest on my TW200. 👍🤙
Cheers Tom! Haha youre pretty spot on with that Geogie 🤣 and yeah mate i will be getting off the beaten track lots! Hopefully doing the famous Danseys Pass will probably have to do that with some buddies though luckily one of Chelseas work mates has an adventure riding group around here and theyre all very experienced! So they should beable to show me all the good tracks and give me tips and tricks to stay upright! Always good to hear from you Tom!
@@roadblastmedia Thanks! Appreciate that shout out too. If you ever do sit and watch TV, that Canadian show is excellent. Been on for 15 years now? And Georgie is one of the most important characters. Happy for you. Hope your move just continues to be joyful.
@@PineyRider cheers Tom! Haha had to give you a shout out! Youve been very supoortive the whole way along! And yeah mate will check that out!
Hey bro!
I loved watching your videos.
Even I do own a classic 350 halcyon black..
With love ❤ from India 🇮🇳 , Hyderabad-Telangana.
Cheers bro!!
Great sights nice ride
Thanks bro!
This place is where the last battle in the first Narnia movie was filmed. Cool!
Woah i didnt know that mate! Thats so cool
You are a natural presenter. With all the motovlogs out there, there's a lot to watch, but you make the videos so interesting with your enthusiasm, both for biking but also for the place you live. It's really a pleasure to watch. It will be great if you have more videos in the future like this showing different parts of New Zealand. I was lucky enough once to visit New Zealand and not only was the place beautiful, but the people were so friendly. Greetings from Switzerland.
Cheers mate! That means alot to hear that! Thanks for the comment!
Hi, Wow! It's a video that shows me the best surprise, healing, and excitement
The view of the riding course is so beautiful
Have a lucky day
👍👍👍
Cheers bro! Love the support!
Well done Brother , keep up the good work .
Cheers mate!!
Hi Vinnie Just an awesome video well done, you ve brought back such awesome memories of my dad and me in our travels around the deep South when he lived there. Highlights for us being Danseys pass, the stunning Nevis pass and the creme de la creme of all The Borland road in Fiordland and weirdly the DOC camp at Pleasant point Haast pass. We sure live in Gods own and just having a coffee by the lake shore in Queenstown with the lady I love is just out right neat . I always get that thrill of being on board the inter islander and seeking that special adventure yet again, I ve travelled all my life to the South and have met amazing people just like you guys. It seriously is a bike riders Mecca, and pretty good for 4 wheel drives, Can't wait for your 5k subscriber video....
Cheers mate! Great comment im glad i got to reignite some old memories! Sounds like i will need to hit some of those roads!!
I do agree with you mate regarding you living in best place in the world. I’m half Australian / French. Born in France, grew up in Asia until low teens, then lived in Sydney for over a decade and now Melbourne. Out of all the Asian, European and Aussie places I’ve visited and lived in, NZ is my favourite country. I hope to live there at some stage. Loving the content bro keep it up 🤙🏼
Thanks bro!! It truely is beautiful down here! Cheers for the support!!
Gee I a impressed the Himmy can do some 2 up riding. I keep taking my wife on the back of the CBR250R here in the Naki, but she's lacking the HP to do much more than round town trips! Proud of you Vinnie! Well done on the channel
Yeah mate! The himmy can always hack it 😀 cheers for the kind words!
Great video, I can highly recommend getting married, best thing I did back in 1985, June 22nd, 37 year’s and still enjoying life together. Still enjoying my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 also. Cheers from England, Worcestershire 😎😎😎😎😎😎
Cheers mate! Yeah one day i will ask her when the time is right and in the right place! Possibly on another motorbike adventure!
I was slow tonight to notice the notification.
Haha youre allgood bro! Always still one of the first!
Hi to Vinny & Ruahines. Thanks so much for sharing your travels and journey today. Is it real cold down there. I suppose you will eventually ride to other places, time permitting for the both of you. I’m going to Holeshot tomorrow morning to get the other accessories installed. And in 2 weeks I’ll pick up the him and hers Merlin Motorcycle Jackets. What jackets do the both of you wear ?
@@johnmartin7158 gday John! Good to hear from you nice to hear youre getting some more mods done on that bike! And Chelsea is wearing a Frank Thomas jacket and I am wearing an Rjays not the best but gets the job done!
Shot Vinnie! Much love from Australia bro! I’ve got a new 650 GT on order and I’ve already ordered the TEC 2-1 just purely based on your reviews. Keep it up bro, the videos are mint!
Cheers mate!! Glad you like the videos! Youll love your new bike! Got a group ride coming out soon with the gt and interceptor as well as two triumph speed twins its a real good one 😀
Beautiful video and lovely place man, I envy empty roads, here in India, there’s soooo much traffic everywhere. Kudos, earned a sub
Cheers bro! Lots more videos to come!!
That’s the great thing about the South Island, all these quirky sights to investigate. And ‘‘twas lovely to meet Chelsea as well. Nice to know that she enjoys motorbikes ……….. you make a fine couple!!

Well, I saw your video because of the Himalayan, then I noticed it was NZ, a country I have always wanted to visit and watched it to find a really nice young couple. Now subscribed and looking forward to more views of your stunning country, you should be working for the tourist board! Thank you from the UK, Paul
Thanks for jumping on board mate! There will be plenty more Touring on the Himalayan! Cheers for the kind words and im looking forward to future comments from you mate!

Congratulations on reaching 4k subs dude well deserved I think as i love your enthusiasm & you take us on some great rides too! Please do a group ride with fellow Royal Enfield riders to the Enfield Tavern I would suggest making it a regular thing that would be awesome vin & hopefully as word gets around more riders will join in! Great to see Chelsea to does she ride a bike? Safe riding guys👍🏻😎
Cheers mate! I love taking you all on the journey with me! I will organise that ride soon mate ever since i went to Enfield i started planning it! And she hasnt had the time to properly learn she can use the clutch and go around a car park in 1st and 2nd but hasnt had the time to go out on the road yet im thinking about getting a lowering kit for the Himalayan to make it a bit more friendly for her height as its quite a tall bike! Good to hear from you mate!
Hey Vinnie, great country down there for motorcycles, enjoyed the video. I noticed that you don't have the windscreen on the Himalayan now , did you not like it ? .
Hows it mate yeah love it down here! And i removed it so it didnt block the camera i put it back on when im not filming it works great just gets in the way 😃
Well done Vinnie totally deserved great watch awesome scenery there you really are so lucky and not many cars either thanks for sharing it 😊👍
Cheers Mate! Yeah im super lucky to live here! Love how quiet and peaceful it is 😃
Vinnie, you're living a CHARMED LIFE, Sir! You live in a beautiful place; you have a beautiful woman (a brunette bombshell!); and she likes motorbikes! I think you had 1k-1.5k subs when I found you. I thought of moving to Oz or NZ, but with how the governments treated the people during the COVID lockdowns, I'm glad I stayed put in the US. Anyway, I look forward to more content from you. Cheers!
Cheers mate! Im very lucky indeed! Thank you for joining the channel and sticking around I have always enjoyed your comments! And agreed mate they took it a bit far with how forceful they were being luckily its all calmed down now and it feels like they dont really have a hold down in the South Island everybody feels so free 😀
@@roadblastmedia you're welcome for my joining the channel! So, is South Island different from the North Island? It would be interesting to know how it was during COVID. The vibe I get is that life didn't change there all that much. BTW, what was the temperature when you made the video? I have to remind myself that it's winter where you are.
@@markymarknj much different mate! And it was a bit warmer on that day around 10 degrees C but usually its ranges from -1 to 12
@@roadblastmedia where I live it's a wee bit colder in winter.
@@markymarknj i bet mate haha pretty tame here in nz all things considered
Great Video Vinnie, Congrats on the 4000, Those rocks are amazing. Great to see you and Chelsea enjoying it down there, We Miss you. (Bird mama xxx)
Cheers Mum! Miss you guys! Hope all is well in Tauranga!
Hey Vinnie and Chelsea 😁 Another great ride out! A beautiful girlfriend, a beautiful place to live, awesome bikes to ride, and no frikken traffic! You are truly blessed in every way mate.! Enjoy and make the most every moment. 😊

Good think about internet...plus if it's a chap like in India.. got see lovely people like Vinnie and Chelsea.. good luck guys..
Cheers for the comment bro!
Fantastic video Vinny and Chelsea! Countryside is absolutely gorgeous and those rocks unbelievable! A lil gem of a Town!❤
Cheers Erica!

@@roadblastmedia 😃🙌🙌💕
Those were some very English names on that map that you showed. Cromwell & Naseby and no coincidence that they were together as Oliver Cromwell led his Roundhead army at the battle of Naseby, in Northamptonshire, England in 1645, defeating the Royalists. Someone in that area knew their history. Lovely scenery all round!
Cheers mate! Yeah its an interesting place lots of history!
Congrats on the milestone bro! Cool that you guys are out on the bike together 👍
How does the Himalayan handle two up?
Those rocks looked interesting, I’ll have to check them out next time I’m down that way, cheers 😎
Cheers bro! Seems to handle pretty well but were both pretty small 🤣 could still get up to 110 120 if i really pushed it even over took a car
Vinnie could you share your riding jackets link it’s pretty cool i would love to buy it. 🤩
Its called an RJAYS Voyager V i cant seem to find any links that arent NZ ones so google that and see what you get 😀
hey vinny. I love you dude. I like your vibes. btw I'm from India and I wanna know if I can install other slip-on exhausts on the TEC 2 in 1 full exhaust system
Hey bro! Love the support! And im not sure bro are you meaning using the Tec 2 into 1 headers and changing the muffler? Im sure its possible but you would need to know what type of exhaust will fit and also make sure it has an adjustable mounting bracket
yes exactly. I love the way it resembles "legs of spiders" on TEC 2 in 1 header. but the muffler looks a bit short. I'm just wondering if I could fit a more throaty slip-ons like gursewak for the finishing sound. and thanks for the early reply 😊
@@lycanmeitei ahh nice bro! Yeah id say itd work youd want to get the measurements right but i dont see why it wouldnt! Good luck bro
Not far from our place!
Nice mate what area are you in?
