Happy feast of St Michael the Archangel!
This song is based on a devotion to the seven swords of St Michael. The origin of the devotion is hard to pinpoint, but it is believed that it is quite ancient.
The seven swords of St Michael represent the seven virtues. As a sword is a weapon to defeat an enemy, each of these virtues is also a weapon to conquer a certain vice. So if you are struggling with a certain vice, hopefully, you can learn what virtue you need to develop to defeat that vice. And of course, ask the help of St Michael so you can swing your "sword" more effectively.
This is my first attempt to write a song completely in Latin. Please let me know if you think this is a good idea or not given the AI is struggling to pronounce the words.
