@@hashking7370 average age of the Dublin team vs mayo was 29.1, without cluxton it was 28.5. Youngest player was lee gannon at age 23, mayo played 9 players the same age or younger. The two best Dublin players McCarthy and fitzsimons are in their mid 30s already, 16/20 of the Dublin players played were over 27. You need a mix of both old and young players or eventually there will be a steep decline in performance. There is a lack of succession planning in the Dublin squad and for as good as they are now, I’d be surprised if they are at the same levels in 3-5 years. Which is why I’m optimistic about mayo for the future. (Clifford could spoil that).

When wil anyone senior county level ever make the jump? AFL seems to only get the guys who couldn't make it to senior level.
He played senior. So did almost all of the lads who headed over.
