As an banglorean i can tell the prices are so inflated in Bangalore due to Demand , I let you know my story😂 I had purchased 2017 swift dzire Zdi with festival offers i got it for 9.2L , cut to chase i sold it in 2021 for 7l ,where i had multiple buyer's for this price😅 At present i have hyundai i20 bought in 2021 and will sell in year end Overall its best to buy new and sell it within 5 yrs in Bangalore, maths does math here 😂
guys, it is not a coincidence that you did not find a good deal as per your parameters. Second hand cars here in Bangalore are wayyyy too overpriced. Also, this is a personal request: please show us more Honda City's
Man , I tried negotiations based on these calculations mentioned in the video. Likes first owner depreciation, life of the car depreciation etc. They laughed at me and it's said it's not practical. It's really tough getting second hand cars. Barely what we can do is negotiate max 50k on quoted price. 😢
sellers are keeping scope for negotiation , as Indian buyers love to negotiate. if the car is worth 5 lakhs, and the seller lists the price at 5 lakhs then the buyers for sure expects to buy it at 4.25 to 4.50 lakhs. the seller doesn't want to lose money in this trade. maybe this could be a possible reason for this exorbitant over pricing.
Honestly not only cars in general everything even if you want a 2 wheeler or get an apartment for rent everything in blr is overpriced. People just assume you came from north or outside Karnataka you must be having good salary you must be earning well and locals do not want miss that opportunity so they price everything at an inflated level.
Can we have an episode regarding bank repo cars as well? I see many ads about eauction website but am not sure as to how should one approach these listings.
Bangalore used car mkt is hugely overpriced. Even my 2018 s cross 1.3 diesel which I bought for 11.6L on road, I can get 8.5L today. That's just 27% depreciation, if I choose to sell directly to a prospective customer.
There is no restrictions in the age of cars in Bangalore. Post 15 years, you’ve to get an FC done every 5 years which will renew your registration. You can do this till a maximum of 40 years so effectively, after that you have to register your vehicle as a vintage car. So technically you can drive a car for 40 years here. the 33 percent initial depreciation estimate technically shouldn’t be considered here right? I know it won’t make much of a difference but suppose we were to consider the above fact. What estimates should we go for? 5 percent per year?
And i will give you an extra piece on information on the Captur... That is being sold from precarmart which offers one year warranty and they check well the service history before buying and also buy cars that have done lesser kms.. Only thing is to negotiate well as I could have got 50k less for my Octavia that I bought from them. Their service is all good except that for insurance transfer you need to pay and also go through the hassle. Only RC transfer is taken cate by them
The i20 you are looking at belongs to a doctor so high chances that it will be maintained well which can be verified through the service records and that generation of i20 had the best interiors plus the exteriors are much better than the 2020 one
@@pranayk37 true but the same variant of i20 can cost twice and looks is a personal preference but the new i20 just doesn't look so good and with increased prices after lockdown the cost cutting has also increased.. Plus increased cost means increased insurance costs.. I am sure that doctor would not have claimed or in the worst case once so NCB plus old car cost will bring down the insurance cost significantly down My Honda City 5th gen ZX MT which costed me 26000 per year for insurance and 2019 Octavia costs me 30-31 k and that was 30 lk On road back in 2019
been following you here for couple of months here the quality of videos and content here is super. I never would have imagined that Zerodha type sponsors would be available so soon. Keep this coming bro.
Ask me about Salvage cars. Cars which are prototype tested by the manufacturers for Homologation/compliance testing and then kept aside for auction or handed to Sr. management as Director cars. Was a beneficiary of an ultra low mileage fuel compliance tested car not once but twice and trust me I know about lowballing a little bit.
Quick addition: The Jazz did not share its engine with the City in India. Globally it comes with the same engine as the city, but here in India it shares its engine with Amaze and Brio i.e the 1.2 i-vtec.
I can't understand what honda is up to... I mean they have practically 3 cars in the market right now and quality is nowhere near to old hondas too I own 2018 honda amaze and i recently found that honda won't sell you parts aftermarket...i also own a 2020 Rapid and they'll practically sell you engine over the counter and for honda...even if you need a smallest glovebox hinge you must go to honda service center and labour charges there are crazy. I mean 4500 rs just labour for a periodic service. I think soon it'll exit the market.
Thanks for the video.. I have a 2015 Polo Trendline, KA03 registration. Added GT Alloys and Leather seats and minor accessories. When I was trying to replace it for Virtus, showroom guys gave me an estimate of 4.1 lakh for the Polo. May be they gave a higher valuation to push the Virtus but yes, cares are valued higher in Karnataka.
Hey Pranav, in your previous video Anmol transferred points from British Airways to Finnair. Why didn't he transfer directly to Qatar Airways which is also a part of Avios? With same points he could have booked from Delhi to Oslo with less hassle.
I think we can do a formula to calculate the price. 4% for every year of ownership and 4% for every 10,000 kms. And then additional depreciation if car is a 2nd owner car.
Love the video! Would it be possible to automate finding these deals? Maybe by scraping car listings from websites and using a filter to identify those that fit the framework. Then we could quickly scan the most promising options!
Need a video on under 15L for Bangalore. Not finding great deals 😢 should I just come to Delhi and buy used car and get it registered in Bangalore? Looking for Škoda or Volkswagen which is less than 3-4 years old automatic ones? What should I do?
16:32 basically renault had no vehicle sales at that point and had to sell those captur for dirt cheap prices, i myself have sold captur top model petrol in 2019 at around 11 lacs, so this would probably be worth around 8.5-9 lacs at that time
I was checking used car in Bangalore, came across a seller, swift 2018 (LXi) driven 50,000 kms whose on road price was 6.02 Lakhs. The seller was asking it for 5.8 Lakhs. I usually try to value the car as you guys do. I knew i will not take the deal just to check how much he is willing to sell, generously I asked him for 25% depreciation 4.8 Lakhs, the seller started laughing and said at max he will sell it for 5.6 lakhs. Now I have realized that I will buy new car in banglore at any cost.
You will find the best valued second hand cars in Kolkata. Period. I am looking to buy in blr now and it’s easily 1.5 to 1.7 lakhs more on any models. Local vendors in Kolkata will give a run to any Spinny or cars24 any day. Blr I am not sure, why it is so inflated
Do keep in mind that the road tax in West Bengal is paid in intervals of 5 years. That's a big reason the cars seem to be much better priced because in intervals of 5 years, you need to keep paying the road tax, etc. on the car again, which in case of states like Delhi or Haryana is a one time payment for the full life of 15 years
@@siddhantmittal6790 I am not sure about that. I think you can choose to pay one time up to 5 to 15 years. I would still consider Kolkata to be a better place to own a pre owned vehicle. It’s just add more value. Once you are looking out to own a pre owned vehicle consider these things and you will still get a great deal. A lot of luxury pre owned segment has also come up. I have owned 2 pre owned vehicles in Kolkata till date (i10 and grand). The experience has been decent. The only cost I had to bear is to change the clutch plate but then again I got good condition i10 era 2010 model in just 1.5 lakhs

Don't we need to take Inflation in account when calculating prices?
When we compare prices of the new car, it's taking inflation into account
Captur sold at massive discounts so it is still overpriced
ZXi Plus in Swift has projector lamps so that's an easy giveaway

13:43 that is Xuv500 not ecosport.
Oh
I commented without watching further😂
Bangalore maybe the worst city to get a second hand car. The dealers expect same price as spinny and cars24 which are always higher by 50k to a lakh
14:03 is not ecosport cluster its xuv500 cluster
Exactly!!!
Been on a lookout for a pre owned, crazy prices here in blore. New car it is then 😬😬
Why not Honda city, ? The much sold one in Bangalore
When did Heisenberg start selling cars? 😅

Jazz price was 9.23 Lakh. You had mistakenly picked the range for Amaze.
You took the price of WRV for Jazz... Jazz was around 10L

What about Tata's cars (esp Tiago and Altroz) since they shed off their image of Taxi banane wali company and turned around their business.

@@ramsumanth5056 Thank you but isn't Honda supposed to be the reliable one?

There's difference between ex-showroom delhi and Ex-showroom bengaluru
No difference. Check in web site prices. Only Road tax differs
Bengaluru people will ask you to do a show in kannada, just kidding 😂
