I was a bit surprised on the second rat because the vacuum sucked up all (at least visible) the bait. Anyway, maybe he was just curious where is buddy went.
Mrs. Rat: "Ralph? RALPH! I know you're in there, Ralph! I'll give you 5 minutes to stop your shenanigans and then, well, don't make me come in after you!" WOSH! (thank you for including the bird bit at the end. I miss those)
Thanks Shawn! I first got to know your TH-cam channel around 8 years ago when I had some rats in my previous house. I moved into my new house 6 years ago and I don't have rat/mouse issue around my new house at all. But I have never stopped loving your videos and contents you make. I think I have watched all of your videos and always looking forward to you new ones. I have seen your kids growing up, new kids in your family ... the unfortunate accident your family had a couple of years ago. My favourite series was the one you showed antique mouse traps and their amazing mechanical mechanism for trapping rodents. I wish you and your family best of lucks and happiness.
5 minutes in Fusion or even Tinkercad, a simple 3d print and less that $20 of components, an esp32, IR Sensor, relay or Smart plug. I reckon give it a month and there will be an STL available ...
Mousetrap Monday, I really loved watching your videos before. Glad Mousetrap Monday and some other good content for rodent control is still going, keep up the good work
Shawn Thank you for showing the Red Tail Hawk, She is a Beautiful Bird. When I got to go Squirrel Hunting, I would see Red Tails and some Great Horn Owls. One time when we was Combining Soybeans there was a Red Tail Hawk Catching mice and we had Jump several Rabbits and I made the Comment I bet she would go after the Rabbit, when we Jump other one, She was sitting almost at the top of the tree, We jump other Rabbit I know she seen it, I told my cousin That is kinda odd I thought, She didn't go after it, I wonder why(?) No sooner then I said that she flew down and Caught other mouse LOL LOL I bet she killed 20 to 30 mice or more, we stop the combine and watch her take the mouse she got and she pull it into 2 pieces then she flew back to the tree she was in and she was only catching Mice, She was eating a lot of them, We was glad she was, I would had thought she would had went for the rabbits.
@@Slane583 The question was pointing out that the same suction that removes the rat will also remove the bait. With no more bait inside the tube, why would rats enter it?
I watched the mouse video, it shows the yellow part pulls out and has a bait holder past the sensor you put peanut butter or other sticky food in so it doesn't get sucked up.
This would be a trap you wouldn’t probably leave on when working in the same area. Imagine trying to work on something and all of sudden the vacuum goes off you’ed be happy it caught something but probably need a new pair of pants lol.
This is incredibly simple and smart. I say shorten the hose or remove it all together and have the sensor right next to the opening on the vac. Have a built in ramp on it. Would require less suction and take up less space. And for mice, a smaller unit for super small cheap vac.
I would like to see if this could be installed outside, with the tube running inside, and a one way door built into the shop vac that lets rodents out, but makes also an air tight seal when it's running.
I watched the mouse video, it shows the yellow part pulls out and has a bait holder past the sensor you put peanut butter or other sticky food in so it doesn't get sucked up.
I made one with a security motion detector. The detector activates a bigger relay that switches on the motor. The main difference is, I used a blender. The rat has to crawl over the blades to get to the bait and sensor. When the sensor trips, they'll panic and run back out. And there's only one way out...
Man, the way that hose jumped, inside the it must’ve been like that scene in Willy Wonka with the fat kid!
NYC.....we're going to need a much bigger shop vac.
One of the industrial car wash vacuums should work.
Are you referencing NYC politicians?

@@SonOfRamenEgg I was surprised too. Knowing how smart rats are I thought the second one would avoid going in.

"Those are BIG rats!!"
Yes! We accidentally caught 5 squirrels 🐿️ on one of our jobs! 😢
No way 😂@@TwinHomeExperts
Mr. Rat's wild ride!
Beautiful hawk.
Hawk tua
This is absolutely comedy.
Absolute comedy, actually.
Wile E Coyote and his ACME catalog.
How does the bait stay in the catching area? Surely the suction will suck up the bait too
The most cartoonish trap out there.

Look at that beautiful hawk!!
Wile E Coyote wants his trap back.
Or its Wallace and Gromit's trap. They had one to catch rabbits.
I have a vacuum, a motion sensor plug and pipe, I might have to build one.
That's what I was thinking.

That vacuum really swallowed those turds!
Twin Home Experts invented this I think. Atleast they sell this. They deal with rodent problems
he said that in the video.

wow the rats are big compared to the mice
Positively *diabolical*
Oh wow party time for the birdies
I love all the Twins traps! But the prices are a little too high imo.
I was wondering where I saw this before...
$249.99 is a bit steep, thats way more than a new Shopvac!
Little situation, Dave umm Theodore vacuumed up Alvin
Pretty slick trap!
Shawn, glad to see you, I thought you might have encountered some problems....Stay safe.....
Imagine a waterpark with this mechanism.
WOW! Now that is some great rat trap automation!
$250!!? sheesh
Greed
Pretty sinister trap!
I love the twins and your channel. Maybe when the sales go up they’ll put them on sale.
I know! We tried to lower the prices, but manufacturing costs, packaging and shipping, it adds up. ❤
Mr. Ridgid's Wild Ride
This one is really cool! Great idea!
The tubing doesn't lie, it works!
How doesn't it suck away the bait?
The rat trips a sensor that tells the unit to turn on the shop vac. The bait doesn't trip the sensor.
@@Slane583 The question was pointing out that the same suction that removes the rat will also remove the bait. With no more bait inside the tube, why would rats enter it?

Goodness me, was that Clementine?! I remember when she was a baby!
I need a trap like this, but for a chupacabra.
Or a samsquantch
it's like a fun Waterslide, from Final Destination
Love your videos thanks
The Vac needs bigger attachments, it was struggling with the rats size
I thought it was more the rats struggling against the suction, trying to hold on and back themselves out their predicament.
@@dougp6664 That's the issue, If the attachment was bigger the rat would be able to hold on to anything
What size power does vac need to be to get rats?
1500 Watts.
Getting ready to try Buhler's invention. 🤞
Holy cow, those rats are HUGE!
Welcome back, Shawn 🤗
That hose jumping made me laugh! Love the product name too! RAT-VAC-TRAP! 😃
How is it baited though? Like wouldn't the vacuum suck up the bait? lol.
Peanut butter smeared on the inside won't get sucked up
@@Call-me-Al Ha yeah I thought of that right after I posted this but decided to leave it up for educational purposes I guess idk, lol.
Wonderful video. Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
$$$249.99 wow that would buy a lot of mouse and rat traps

Do The Rat Dance! 😂
rat said: dang harold where did u go too?
Needs a sign at the entrance: "Free Thrill Ride"...
Good work Crawdaddy
I would like to see if this could be installed outside, with the tube running inside, and a one way door built into the shop vac that lets rodents out, but makes also an air tight seal when it's running.
That's just a doorway with extra steps
What stops the bait from being sucked up?
I watched the mouse video, it shows the yellow part pulls out and has a bait holder past the sensor you put peanut butter or other sticky food in so it doesn't get sucked up.
Hey Shawn- doesn't the vacuum suck up all the food with the first offender?
The title reminded me of a little Johnny joke😂
Nice. Still waiting on a catapult trap!
3:22 - 😮😮😮 they looked much smaller in the capture video.
Would this work with a Henry Vacuum Cleaner?
What happens to the bait? Does it get sucked in too? Seems like a flaw if the trap doesn't fully reset for the next rodent.
$250 for the unit. 😮
I know! I answered this already.
Haha Tom and Jerry 😂
Quick question: will this suck up seven foot RATS?
Love it, but you need an outlet.
Secret Squirrel
We have entered a new epoch in trapping.
Reminds me of Krusty's Funhouse.
How do you keep it from also sucking up all the seed?
Where is the mixer?

very cool !
I was surprised at worked with these chonkers, tho it clearly didn't have the easiest job with 'em SuperVinlin
When a product sucks in a good way.
What the hell just happened to Tony?? 🐭… oh well… hey wait a minute is that food in there? Awesome.. 😊🧀
Looks like it also sucks your bait away!
^thoomp^😂
Goofy ahh rat trap but oddly effective
Didn’t the vacuum suck up the bait after the first rat goes in the tube?
Yes.
It's a crap design if using loose bait.
I made a similar trap but use peanut butter that's packed into a recess that doesn't impede the tube.
I wonder if the rats will learn to avoid it.
Reminds me of gromit and Wallace when they suck ip the rabbits
With there was a diy on building one... $250 is pretty steep
That trap SUCKS!!!! (but that's a good thing)
Многофункционально, если Вы понимаете о чем я 🤭
Cool
You need solid bait that doesn't get sucked down the tube with the rat.
Are you sure it isn’t made by ACME ?
@ShawnWoods what about a series about cockroaches? After mice, rats and wasps that could be an option, isn't it?
Dogs.
Does it work on mother in-laws?
But will it suck up a RUS??
Cool idea, but a bit over priced.
It is a nice trap but it cost $250 bucks just for the trap and shop vac not included. Great video and content well done
Wow that's steep. I'll build my own what Arduino, ir motion sensor and a relay. Just need to write the code if I was smart
