Traditionally they'd be raised around it and used to it. The clattering of the bells helps to ward off wolves, bears, and other predators, and the cows usually have them on pretty early in life, too. Everyone just gets used to it lol

It's their breed. They aren't bred specifically for meat, so they seem a lot more thin than "regular" US cows
