I hear what your saying, and for 100% F2P, or extremely light spenders, I can kind of agree. However, I'll still be buying, all of the instant afk rewards... for one reason, if for nothing else... the proficiency stat. Literally the only way to get the resources (pre-season essence, and exp) for raising it is afk rewards. Also, proficiency carries over from season to season... one of the few things that does - like hero ascensions, and ex equipment upgrades for example. These are a few things that are worth getting (if you can), because they carry over... imo. You will find yourself falling farther, and farther behind... even season to season, if you don't. Not saying "you HAVE to get them"... not at all. I'm just saying that if you can, I think it's worth it... in the long run.
Where does it say that proficiency carries over? Edit: I guess you mean base resonance level… it takes 35k for one level.. that is 60k diamonds worth of max refreshes lol You are seriously implying that 1 base resonance level (1 proficiency .. 0.01% upgrade) is worth it over 3.3 S and 40 A levels???

And you are forgetting you also get pre-season essence, and exp from passively collecting afk rewards, so it's not like you are spending a whole 60k diamonds to go up 1 pre-season resonance level. 3.3 random S Tier, and 40 random A Tier. You forgot the "random" part... which is a pretty important thing. Also, 3.3 S Tier, and 40 A Tiers aren't that hard to get... just go to the shops. In the end though, like I said, I'm not telling anyone to do it. I'm just saying I am, and will continue to do so... and I'll continue to buy however many pulls with diamonds that I want to as well. You do you. I'm just saying that in the long run proficiency will be important... just like the other things that carry over season to season - like hero ascensions, and ex equipment upgrades. the pre-season reso level dont feel very useful at all thou. in pre season arena our level is capped at 166 and there's no where else that level is useful?

Oh dang, you may be right. I wonder how the conversion of seasonal rewards towards regular season proficiency will be handled. In the patch notes, the devs did not disclose the conversion formula. Guess we'll find out in two months.
thanks for the analysis! just moved up to next tier for 5 total refreshes and had a question whether the 5th refresh was worth the gems b/c of declining marginal returns for the 200 gems. I'm also at res 600 so if I forgo the 4th and 5th refreshes : 300 gems per day= 9000 per month or 33 extra invite letters per month.
That's good. By avoiding the 200 and 300 gem refreshes, you save yourself the equivalent of ~33 invite letters per month according to a twitch viewer earlier today. By stop spending entirely, you can focus on using your diamonds towards unlocking paragon if you have not done so already.
Im also at 830 and since its the first season, we have no idea whats happening at the end of the season, and i have plenty of resources to keep maxing out instants (gazette + dailies), ill continue until we have a definitive answer as to why we shouldn’t continue. Im really hoping i didnt grind to get r2 in d14 in levels afk stage and tower for dogshit rewards at the end of the season💀🙏🏼🙏🏼
I have had a few viewers suggest I consider at least resuming the 50 gem and 100 gem 💎 refreshes in case the end of season conversion provides a significant advantage for the following season. I might do the 50 gems for now and prayge lol 🙏
I think the way seasonal levels were implemented didn't making anyone happy. You probably either saw your ranks drop because you fell behind on seasonal levels or you might be seeing them drop now because of the soft cap and stiffer competition for the leader boards. Add in the fact that all the seasonal stuff you worked for is temporary and I predict we'll see another wave of players leaving the game at the seasons end. Especially if the compensation for your effort is minimal.
Yeah, I feel like this whole seasonal resonance nerfing for dream realm and supreme arena may have been to narrow the gap between whales and F2Ps. However, the recommended formations feature nullified the edge that some low spenders had over whales, which was insider information on the best meta teams. As a result, I think a lot of people had lost motivation to push afk stages or other game modes, including myself to an extent.

im glad i only spent 150 gems per day so far on instant afk. now i think ill stop spending entirely

What number do AFK stages go up to? I'm at 1600.
As of this recording, we have players in afk stage 2600+, so there appears to be no upper limit.

So I guess I'll just get to 560 for supreme arena then stop max refreshing.
