'86 through '92 was the best time wit'R.E., in my opinion. They had reached the apex of their craft at that time and, simultaneously, had the District on lock. They were doing three to four shows a week while still traveling out of town to play. And they were coming up with new grooves regularly (like the HBO theme song we hear on this tape) and they had some of the best hunnies and big-time hustlers at their shows. They were the best definition of "like-that".
Folks dropped me and big sis off at Crystal Skate to skate and lo and behold " Rare Essence" 😂😂...87-91 twice sometimes three times a week. Came home in 97, Essence wasn't the same🎉🎉 Still crank tho !!
