    Nice footage!
Was this the fist time the camera is used in the car?
Then that's probably why the GPS receiver didn't work that well - it might (like any GPS reciever used for the first time) take some time to start up and get reliable position data once turned on. Especially when starting it up while moving and at varying speed and direction, like this. It will probably work better then.
But you will always need to turn on the camera and wait a little before start filming (if your old one was one of those dashcams that turn on automatically with the car, that might not have been an issue - as you probably don't start filming right at the beginning of your trip, so the GPS get some time to start up anyway).
I haven't used GoPro my self, so I don't know much about that one, but other GPS units and a separate camera. There should be some indication how many satellites data are received from and when the GPS is ready.

I've been using it for quite a while. I also use it for my other channel - #tthedriverrr

@@dead2nz Ok, it might just have been some temporary issue causing it to take extra long to start up (it do happens from time to time on GPS receivers, depending on how satellite positions have changed since it was last turned off). It seemed to work ok at the end at least. Always really fun to watch these videos anyway (awesome driving and it looks fun to drive there without all the boring rules we have in the western countries).
I just taught it looks bad to have speed data that's completely off - I would rather remove the data, than show data like this. GPS otherwise shows speed very accurately when it works.
